I heard the players are now stressed over the RRSP deadline ..Brian Burke is a sensitive boss. He doesn't want to hurt his players' feelings. After all, they're only making $millions per year.
It's okay cause he ended last year very well and started this season well so I would give him another extension . Isn't that the criteria of MLSE . You see they fired my Raptors coach for doing the same thing Wilson did .So now they can evaluate Wilson at season's end without wondering whether the lame duck status was a factor.
I think there is only one criterion this year. It starts with "p" and ends with "layoffs".It's okay cause he ended last year very well and started this season well so I would give him another extension . Isn't that the criteria of MLSE . You see they fired my Raptors coach for doing the same thing Wilson did .
On the bright side he got 3 assists...Can Dion Phaneuf even hit the net with a shot anymore?
It is amazing!
He cannot hit the net!
Even though Luke is a plus 6 (more or less), there are glaring weaknesses in his game. He is SLOW, poor stickhandler, etc. At one time, I thought he could be a Craig Lugwick(sp) but no longer. Yes, we know Luke has 60 million "hits".overrated draft picks like Luke Schenn who cannot skate.

You have my vote wholeheartedly.Maybe they should stop these lame pregame ceremonies (Sundin and 62 Leafs), they lost both games, see a trend happening here.
The extension was just so he does not have that 'lame duck' status. Yes it matters. So now they can evaluate Wilson at season's end without wondering whether the lame duck status was a factor.
The Leafs are number 1 in something ...You have my vote wholeheartedly.
The extension was just so he does not have that 'lame duck' status. Yes it matters.
Giving him a year is nothing, pocket change for the Leafs, and they can eat that and not even notice it on the bottom line. I do think he is done at season's end. He is not a bad coach I have learned, and have come to respect him. I still do not like him, but I love the way he handles the media, who think they know hockey(lol).
Furthermore, it Is a good thing guys like Rockslinger and Doot(et al) have absolutely nothing to do with the Leafs. They(the Leafs) would be so much worse off then they are now. Schenn would look so much better in a different situation. In the fish bowl that comes with playing here the organization should have realized that here, more then anywhere else, a kid like Schenn should have played at least one season in the minors.
Same thing with Gustavsson. He should have at least played a couple of months with the Marlies. I still do not understand two untested goalies making NHL debuts or with less then 100 games experience.
Burke has finally got this team to where it should have been when a new GM comes in. If anything he has earned more time to see what he can do for at least three more years. If my info is correct, Burke is under contract until the end of 2013/14.
now in goal for toronto wearing #30, bruce gamble.
Thought I would save the rest of the Terbites time by posting the brilliant "post 636""see post #636.
DoltI prefer the high priced free agents than overrated draft picks like Luke Schenn who cannot skate. I YAAWN !!, watching American Kessel who I don't give a damn if he scores 80 goals. Having Canadian content like Wendel Clarke, Brendan Shannahan, Mark Messier are much more appealing, win or lose.
Brendan Shanahan was borned and raised about 15 Km from the Air Canada Centre ... Parents still live 15 Km from the Air Canada Centre .. He played HS hockey for Michael Power in EtobicokeDolt
Phil Kessel was a 'high priced free agent'.
Who cares what his passport says?
Brendan Shanahan is American*.
*Dual citizenship, as do many players/management in hockey, Steve Yzerman, Ron Wilson, Scotty Bowman for 3 more examples.
And he is an American. You can look it up.Brendan Shanahan was borned and raised about 15 Km from the Air Canada Centre ... Parents still live 15 Km from the Air Canada Centre .. He played HS hockey for Michael Power in Etobicoke
