Another shit effort by the Leafs...Tampa 4 Leafs 0 Shutout in 3 of last 6 games...inexcuseable...Wilson needs to be fired now..and if the upper management of this team had more than one brain cell among the collective group, Burke's ass would be out on the street too...he's the one that put this crap team together. Some are saying can't be worse than last year?....Last place will be worse, and that's right where this team is heading...

Maybe I'm nuts but I think Brendan Shanahan would look really good in a Leaf uniform even if he is 42 or something like that.

You know, it's not the coach who wins or loses games. It's the players. Why don't you blame the players for being unable to score? Why don't you blame the goaltenders for being unable to stop shots?

Then again, the Habs won again last night, with a shutout no less. So I just enjoy gloating.

Bryan McCabe would look prety good in a Leaf uniform right now. BTW: Phaneuf (injured) and Kaberle (uninjured) have a combined total of exactly 0 goals.

Daryl Sittler would look good in a Leaf uniform right now. Actually, Doug Gilmour is only 41, let's bring him back.

Ian friggin White would look good now,,,watch Burke will probably trade his top pick for 2012 for some over the hill scorer...Miku Koivu or some1 like that

Okay, the hot start was encouraging but this is reality folks. There is nothing here and nothing on the farm. My left hand will make a greater impact in the NHL than Nazim Kadri.

Beating a dead horse again, but it all comes down to the Kessel trade. Burke has fucked this team over for the next decade. Chiarelli must be stroking himself silly thinking about another top 5 pick next summer.

From afar, I never understood why Burke could not use the money paid to Kassel, on a top 6 forward UFA, and retain the draft picks. And that was my opinion at the time of the deal as well.

But it certainly is more amusing this way. The Leafs are now number 26 in the league -- another top five pick.

Kadri is leading the Marlies in scoring so way too early to write him off.

As for the Kessel trade, Have too admit it's looking pretty bad as of now.

Very nice...first they beat the toilet seats, and now the turds. :D
So you say the Canadiens are the toilet seats eh. I was waiting for the end of the season but I guess now is a good time. Apologies to "respectful" Leaf fans but I got to respond to this.

Leafs are back under the Canadiens in the standings. So the thing that ususally is under the toilet seat must eventually go back under the toilet seat.

The Leafs are in a pickle no doubt about that. No one knows that better then Leaf fans.

Light at the end of the tunnel ? Leafs have gotten younger and acquired some young talent. The best thing to look forward to is the coming off season.
Bozak($3+ mostly bonus), Kaberle($4+) and Giguere($6) come off the books. That is a total of $13,975,000 in cap space. Even if Bozak and Giguere are resigned it will certainly not be at their current salaries.

The average age of the 1967 Toronto Maple Leaf Stanley Cup champions was something like 40 years old. Let's bring back Doug Gilmour and Mat Sundin and sign Brendan Shannahan and Curtis Joseph.

Considering their recent history over the last decade I never thought I would say this, but for the 2010/11 season, I am happy to be a Leafs fan rather then a New Jersey Devils fan.

The team has been playing a little better in the last 2-3 games but as hard as they tried, the losing streak continues; and if the slide continues for another 8-10 games, I'd expect Burke to be making some drastic moves. Would you agree and would he :

-replace Ron Wilson ?
-trade Kaberle for whatever he can get to help scoring ?
-trade more future picks and/or Schenn for a "top six forward"?

I really don't think he'll just sit and watch as the team slips out of the playoff picture into another lottery pick position again. But what else can he really do ?
