It's great news they are shutting down strip club.
Strip clubs should not had been re-opened at the time they were to begin with, they should have been categorized in the same manner way as nightclubs and eventually re-opened in the exact same way. There is enough scientific data from around the world on nightclubs and strip clubs that they should had taken into account.
But I believed they tried having these businesses reopened and put the onus on the clients, employees and the establishments to act responsibly in such places, unfortunately the selfish people showed us that they won't act responsibly, so thereis nothing else to do other than shut them down.
But what difference is there between a bar and strip club? Other then a dancing girl or two.

Clubs and bars in my opinion should all be closed down because people, especially after a couple of drinks, are irresponsible.
All the Amigos who keep denying the truth can pat one another on the back as the rollbacks start coming in. Quebec is rolling back as well hitting mid 600 in cases today.

The difference is in rule enforcement. They would be the same if the girls were dancing on a stage about 4 meters away from the nearest client, clients will be seated at tables 2 meters apart AND the strippers did not go in the room to talk to clients (never mind giving lap dances). Unfortunately, these rules are not enforceable.
These people going on benders and breaking the rules are partly the cause of this. Like I've posted before to the dismay of a few hardcore strip club fans
When there is alcohol involved in general but specially in strip clubs or nightclubs people's inhibitions go out the window, so their tolerance for rules and guidelines are gone.

Nightclub to me means a dance floor, maybe pool tables, packed crowd, etc.
Strip club can eliminate pervs rows, separate tables and let men drink just like the would at a bar.

Premiers and PM did not learn nothing from UK, France, Belgium and so on about opening restaurants and bars. Those countries have seen great upticks since they completely opened now they are backtracking like Canada rather than complete shutdowns of these industries. It is sad all these leaders did not learn anything 6 months into this pandemic.
It's a tough place to be if one is in Doug's shoes. Restaurants are in grave danger of losing everything and Doug being a Conservative complicates his position even more. I don't envy the man, it's a lose lose situation no matter if he does the right thing or wrong thing.
As I said, the difference is rule enforcement. If SC do what you say and make sure the rules are nor broken, no girls will be willing to work since they cannot make money only from stage dance. So, SC either will close themselves or will allow rules to be broken (strippers socialising with clients or giving lab dances). Hence, simple logic implies that the only SC that operate are the one where the rules are broken, and, therefore, they should be closed.
Unless everything is shut down, you're going to see cases increase. Shut down bars, restaurants, and stripclubs yet schools are open. Senseless. But it gives the impression to the gullible that the government is doing something and will make a difference lol

100% agree. You either bring the country to a stand still for 3 weeks- no one leaves home or don't bother. No "lockdown" will ever mean shit with the international travellers arriving daily, mass transit in motion, schools, grocery stores, etc. in almost normal routine. Oh, and btw, still no proper masks available for general population. At least we have something to talk about, so there's that.
Still will not work. You must keep everybody at homes with forcefully tests and removal to quarantine places for the entire world at the same time. The quarantine is ridiculous unless a proper vaccine will be found soon. Anyone who wants to wait till that time are welcome to stay home, order grocery delivery (stick to packaged goods that can be soaked in clorox and then washed), and they will be safe till vaccine is developed. Anyone who does not want to pay such high price are welcome to go outside. Manage your own risks.
