Reading through all the above posts ...... doesn't look good on most Terbites. We have no information on the shooters are or any of the relevant why and how background information. Why is everyone jumping to conclusions? The extreme level of stereotyping is ridiculous.

Misleading post. The Police Chief did not say this. Joe Walsh falsely claimed it. Joe Walsh is a pathetic man.
The gunman killed in a stand-off with Dallas police said he wanted to kill white people, especially officers, the city's police chief has said.
The suspect told police that he was upset about the recent police shootings of black people, Police Chief David Brown told reporters.
Five Dallas police officers were killed and seven wounded by snipers during peaceful protests against the shooting of black men by police, officials say.
Three people are in custody.
Mr Brown said the suspect had been killed when police used explosives placed by a robot to end a tense stand-off in a building where he was holed up. Before that he had spoken to a negotiator.
"He said he was upset about Black Lives Matter [protest movement]; he said he was upset about the recent police shootings," Mr Brown told a news conference.

Police are constantly encouraged or legislated to be better. There is police oversight. More police training. Sensitivity training. Deescalation training. Training in mental health. Courts holding officers accountable. Money sent to the police trying to find better ways. Moving them in the direction of perfection, although we all know police perfection is never attainable.

That said, what has BLM done to make themselves better? Anyone? Anyone?

Rational Black community leaders need to have a conversation with BLM.

I hope it never comes to this but White people with guns can also shoot back next time BLM has a protest. We need everybody to step back 10 yards and calm down.

Condolences to the family and friends of the fallen officers and best wishes for a speedy and full recovery for the injured.

Our reality is created by TV. No stories of cops creating community recreation or risking lives etc as they are not sensational

You're absolutely right its wrong to jump to conclusions, but these unfair rules were made by BLM. Blame is the name of their game and most of us are playing by the rules of their ridiculous game.

According to CP24, the shooter was confronted by who appears to be a policeman.

The shooter has been identified.

Reports are coming in that the lone shooter they know about, Micah Johnson, was an army vet who was mad at police, white people and BLM.

This shouldn't be blamed on BLM, they organized and ran a peaceful march with co-operation and planning with Dallas police.

Again, your post is misleading. C-M you stated "Dallas Police Chief just now: "The suspect said he wanted to kill white police officers. He stood with #BLM. He hated Cops.". The facts are i) the chief never said that, ii) it was Joe Walsh that claimed the Chief said that and iii) the additional info you posted above came later in time and doesn't support Walsh's claims.

The tweet you posted was a typical Joe Walsh racist / inflammatory comment. My point: You posted miss-information and you didn't look at the source of the information to try to gauge its reliability before posting. Anybody who is aware of Walsh's recent history would take anything Walsh says with a grain of salt.

In the next few weeks as more information is released about the shooters, hopefully we get a more complete and accurate idea of their background and motives. Some of the information provided will no-doubt be miss-information. Little doubt there is allot more to this story.

Very sad events, I feel sad for all those victims. People are taking angry and aggression senselessly. You can't justify an eye for an eye, that will only lead to more of the same. Not everyone is the same, unfortunately people don't understand this.

As sad as this sounds I am personally not one bit surprised by what has happened again with the killing of innocent black people by LE in the U.S, and really not shocked by the following killing of white police officers in response to it.
Until we all as human beings wake up and start putting divisions from race, ethnicity, and religion aside nothing will change and this vicious cycle will not only continue but will keep on getting more divisive than yesterday.
There are many societal issues in the U.S that needs to be addressed and resolved and unfortunately a lot of people from all corners of the world just want to ignore these issues because they benefit somehow from this divisiveness or are just oblivious to it.
