Well, the teams are set, NJ and LA for the finals. Any predictions?

I'll start. LA in 6. They're going to grind the Devils D down with their punishing forecheck.

Devils have a chance if Marty is hot in all games and NJs forcheck is better and their D can play big.

I say LA in 6 too, but I have this weird feeling that its gonna go to game 7

It would be pretty cool to see marty win the cup one last time. If he does, he should retire

I hope that LA will wear the old gold and purple jersey's for at least one game (honoring the seals by wearing white skates would be pretty neat).

Link to a cool video of the California Seals history...They had quite the crop of players at different times. It mentioned that Finlay introduced players names on the back of sweaters...Interesting. Their last uniform color was teal, similar to the Sharks.

(do not know how to post the video)...

It's not looking good for the Devils thus far. The games could have gone either way, but unfortunately for the Devils they haven't.

Could a sweep be far off or can the Devils at least make this interesting.

Next game is pivotal for the Devils.

are the kings on the shortest run through the playoffs since the 16 team playoff started?

I think the Kings will win. :D

I was watching the Score and they were having a group chat and of course one of the idiots had to take a shot at Burke about his trade deadline stand of not trading away draft picks for a shot at squeaking into the playoffs. The guys said 'yeah look at LA, Burke, that could have been the Leafs'.
Riiiiight, because back in January, Leafs/LA Kings ... I could not tell the difference they were so alike.
Quick and Reimer, who can tell the difference ?
Any Leaf d vs any LA d ? Again how do you know one set of defencemen from the other ?

devils played well tonight, but there really just delaying the inevitable

I agree, it would seem inevitable, but you never know, do you?

It's not easy to win the final game. The players know they only need to win this one game and they are crowned the champions. Your nervous energy can make your legs wobbly and the longer the game goes scoreless, the more it favours the other team.

LA needs to come out strong next game, they have lost momentum now. They need to establish their game, which is physical and dominate and win the battles. They also need to get the first goal and keep grinding them down, in order to get the win and the Cup.

Jersey has momentum now and they have found the system that worked against LA in game 4. If they can keep up what they found was working in game 4, first on the puck, win those battles and cycle the puck, keeping LA on their heels in their own end, then I think they will win game 5.

Actually, NJ has only been clearly outplayed in one game.
