There is no such thing as a non racist.

A half Asian friend of mine once called me racist for saying something to the effect of "Chinese people are bad drivers". Once I removed my hand from his neck he explained to me that he took offense because I implied all Asians are bad drivers. I insisted that he was nit-picking and should know what I meant in knowing me. Up untill that point most people said I'm one of the least racist people they've met. Then why did I react so strongly and in retrospect an embarrassing way. Because, I do have racism in me and that incident was a turning point in my awareness.

Funnily enough some of my racism stemmed from racism and prejudice towards myself from other races/groups and of course irrational resentment toward individuals.

OK, so do I now have to walk on egg shells around him. No, but if I don't want to offend him, then I need to be more careful in my wording to express how I truly feel. It's not about being "politically correct", but genuine respect for others feelings.
For God's sakes Pool, I was joking!!

You are avoiding the question. Who are u racist against? U made the comment that everybody has racism in them, which I don't agree with, now come clean. Barring that, shut the f**k up with your holier than thou attitude.

Let me guess - you don't consider yourself to be a racist.

Fine fair is fair I get nervous around a large groups of black youths. I think that counts as being racist because it is based on skin colour. Do I cross the street no but a moment of nervousness does occur.

All I can say is that I'm honest.

To elaborate I think everyone has a bit of racism in them because there has to be one racial stereotype that each person perscribes to.

For those who are not racist I apologize guess that's what happens when I make generalizations.

Oh yeah and how am I being holier than thou.

I admit to having flaws.

And I merely responded to the points raised other points that had not yet been mentioned.

But before this turns into a back and forth arguement please dispute my points regarding the thread.

Of course he's a racist. Or as some folks like to call themselves a "racialist" and he's better than most of the other folks 'cause he can show "blood in the face".

Drunken master guessed that you don't consider yourself racist.

You said he's wrong.

So if you consider yourself racist who are you racist against?
You called me out and I answered. Fair is fair.

Maybe we should go shopping at Benneton together and become more enlightened. :)

When I read your post I had a chuckle when you mentioned that asians are no worse driving than others. Are u f*****g kidding me? U said u live in the Chinatown area so I can only assume that it is only chinese driving in your area and u do not have anybody else to compare them to. U should try driving along Sheppard between McCowan and Warden and then try to make the statement u made.

You are entirely correct fair is fair. I have a very low opinion of people from Great Britain. I despise everything that Great Britain and the monarchy stand for.

I commute to North York, Richmond Hill, Vaughn, Woodbridge, Maple, Miss, Hamilton, Guelph, Kitchener, St Kits, Burlington, Grimsby regularly and have been driving for over 14 years so I have plenty to compare it to.

I spend at least 2-3 hours on the roads every day and the truth is I don't encounter many bad asian drivers. But I'm more of a stick to one lane at the same speed as the flow of traffic and keep a reasonable distance between me and the car in front so maybe that's why I don't notice many bad drivers at all because once I'm in the groove I just chill listening to the tunes. For me I love driving..... you'd have to, to do it as much as me. So other than the odd person who doesn't look in their blind spot, the lane drifter or the sudden stop I really don't see much. And generally I avoid the afforementioned drivers by staying out of people's blind spots, giving enough stopping distance and of course accounting for traffic so I'm rarely in a rush.

Frankly I'm more affraid of drunk drivers or people asleep at the wheel. And I can say that very few asians make up the drunk driving population since many of them lack the enzyme to process alcohol which means it takes very little alcohol to make them sick. As a result of this I'd say the asian population has a lot less drinkers. I can also back this up because when I attend family functions of asian friends where large numbers congregate I often don't even see any alcohol being served.

Judging from your comments in the other post about "ever been to China" I'd say that you have a problem with Asians as well -- it's OK, you're allowed to say it.

But judging from you disingenuous response I guess you're a racist and a coward. Fits the profile.

Awwww Fatume. I was hoping for a visible minority. GB is a country not a race. But since you're talking about the monarchy I guess that means you hate certain white people who perscribe to a certain set of politics.

Wasn't expecting that one but boooring. :)

You know Asians! That makes you a collaborator in the great Anti-White Conspiracy!

Anyway, enough of this. Arguing with a self-proclaimed racist is like - well, arguing with a developmentally delayed rock. I take it from your handle you're a fan of The Punisher?

U are making some false assumptions. I have no problem at all with asians. As for my being a racist, at least I was honest enough to admit, that I have a problem with the english and the monarchy. The one that is truly hiding like a coward is u that is not man enough to admit his racial predjiduces.

Being born and raised in Britain, I don't have much regard for monarchy or their politics either. I am not responsible for their structure or actions, just as I had nothing to do with the events and dynamics leading up to and including the "opium wars", which someone once implied "my people" were.

PS The point is it's OK to disagree with a countries politics past or present, but do not judge all it's inhabitants based on this. I think Americans know only too well how this type of prejudice manifests itself.

Prejudices are human - it's just that not everybody is as proud of them as you are, nor do most people think their prejudices correspond with reality.

interesting how this thread with a negative slant toward minorities stays, and mine that celebrates the fact that a majority will not longer be a majority is removed.
