If the Jays don't look like they're ready to turn the corner by next year, I can't imagine these two will be around for much longer.
Agree. They tried to do everything on the cheap so it is no surprise that as of now they are fielding an embarrassment of a team. In May they gave up 10 or more runs in a game 7 times.

The Blue Jays today drafted Braden Halladay in the 32nd Round, 957th overall.
Young Mr. Halladay is committed to Penn State.
It would require serious $$$ to change his mind.

Toronto later released a statement saying they know Braden is headed to Penn State,
but were honoured to have had the opportunity to draft him.

I hope Jose Bautista will rejoin the Jays in some capacity. Robby has the goodwill ambassador job locked up. So, maybe Bautista can be president and/or general manager and/or manager and/or hitting coach.

Next year will be year 5 and BBL is just talking about turning the corner, not even challenging for a playoff spot. If they haven't turned the corner yet, it means at least 2 or 3 more years until they can challenge. That means about 8 years until they can even think about the playoffs. Not sure about others, but to me, that sounds kind of excessive for an organization with the resources of Rogers.

I was watching PTI and they mentioned how a team like the Raptors has a whole country behind them and the amount of resources that provides them.

On a separate note, I saw Shi Davidi at my local Shoppers Drugs Monday . I was so tempted to go and ask him about Jays' management's performance but decided not to bother him. He already seemed very aggravated by some problem he had at the checkout which was taking a lot of time.

News out of New York (Bronx Division):

Troy Tulowitzki is no longer working out at the Yankees' complex in Tampa.
The team has allowed him to go home to "get over that (injury) hump and kind of push through the finish line of getting exactly right," Aaron Boone said.

In other words, they've sent Tulo to live on a farm upstate.

Other Toronto Blue Jays pitchers who have given up at least 10 earned runs in a start:

David Wells 13
Roy Halladay 11
Pat Hentgen 11
Brian Tallet 10
Dustin McGowan 10
Giovanni Carrera 10
Dave Stewart 10
Luis Leal 10

Doc, efficient as always, did it in 2.1 innings, only 68 pitches
Stewart 1.2 innings, only 70 pitches
Hentgen took one for the team, going 8 innings
Just curious as to if any of the players who allowed 10 or more earned runs in a start had an ERA of 13.22 or higher?

10.64 for Roy Halladay in his 3rd season as a Blue jay.

Jackson gives up 6 runs in 3 1/3 innings tonight. Not sure but that may have lowered his ERA. If they trot him out again for another start it shows that they have zero respect to any fans who pay to attend.

They seem to pay zero attention to caring about providing any experience to the fans that is worthy of the money the fans are spending. It is shameful and disrespectful to he city's fans. All goodwill that they may have inherited is now long gone.

Yup it is sad and disgusting. Why is Jackson going out there every 5th day? He is humiliating himself. Is he that desperate for the money?

Of the 6 runs, only 2 were earned, his era did lower tonight to 11.90.

I can see a contender come calling for a Sogard trade next month if they need a utility infielder
