I didn’t see that the jays are in Oakland this weekend so him being called up and fly all the way to Oakland is a no go,Sunday night looks like a good bet,day off Monday for the pressers and media gongshow and on Tuesday against SF is an easier transition.

This is getting interesting...

The BJ's obviously have a lot of young talent both on the 40 man roster and AAA. They are starting to put things together. But it is going to take some time yet before they can develop consistency and gel as a team.

Over the next 2 or 3 weeks they are going to have to make some decisions. They have to make room for Vlad, Phelps and Richard. Not long after that, for Gurriel, Borucki and Travis. But they also want to give several others like Reid-Foley, Alford, Davis, Pompey and Merryweather a solid tryout so that they can evaluate how they fit, if at all... maybe Biggio, Bichette and Pearson, too.

I think Atkins must want to tentatively line up his 25 man roster by the end of June so that the team can then have 3 months to see what they are capable of doing and where the strengths and weaknesses are.

So, what are your predictions for what the 25 man roster will look like before the ASG?

Yes, it is early right now. But not too early to give it some thought. And there could even be some startling changes. Like the Alomar/Carter trade 28 years ago...

But it also means we have 2 months to play this prediction game. :D

Who are the keepers? Who is most likely to surprise?

Can we have fun and play nice?

the first contender to need a shortstop will give us 2 power armed prospects for Freddy Galvis. Then Bichette gets called up to play shortstop. National League team needs a good switch hitter to come off bench, gives us another power arm prospect for Smoak. Gurriel gets called up and platoons with Tellez at first base, And Gurriel dh against right handers

Sid Finch gets called up to replace injured pitcher.

So, you give up on this year wth Yankees and Bosox down and Vlad the Slayer about to totally change the offensive dynamics of a team that appears to have some solid starters along with a coach who told runers to actually run and challenge throwers and even steal home ( unlike Gibby who was a insipid coach IMHO)?

Smoak just homered the Jays to a 10 -12 record and you give up and want to trade him when he forces the pitchers to not throw around Vlad one of the greatest prospects ever?

Tulo injured, shocking!

The Jays are opening a good ol can of whoop ass on the A's but they lost Shoemaker. He left under his own power which is positive.

With all due respect to Gibby, I can't understand why Montoyo spent so much in the minors. He's a great manager, do I need to elaborate.

well, i was just predicting as was suggested by the previous poster. Lets talk in August. The biggest FUTURE need this team has is power pitching.
