Merry yeeeeee HAAAAAAAAA *Terb party*
Holy my oh my.... Where do i even begin? First off, hands off to the organizers- no pun or insult intended as what should follow. I can appreciate all the time invested in organising such an event, on any level and appreciate your dilagence- much like most.
HOWEVER- as a newbie to the industry, i was completely and utterly dissapointed, perhaps by my own expectations, or the dissatisfaction on a whole ruined my short stay at the party. The atmosphere, for one was completely off. I envisioned something perhaps a little more tasteful and was COMPLETELY out of place in sheek, beautiful black velvet dress. To my knowlegede, dress code was NOT addressed. Not to mention, the feeling of being comlpetely bombardod by TWO morons, who *honest to gosh* had no clue, couldn't get a clue if their lifes depended on it and smuthered us in negative drunken energy. *breathes*
With that said... absolutely no interaction occured with fellow terb members. Pardon me-actually... two very charming gentleman did accompany us *Jillian and I* at our table with our lovely two morons. Even that wasn't hint enough for them to leave. SECURITY? i saw one woman, who was in the bathroom- checking the stalls. Not once did any of them step in and dissolve or intervine the situation-which was quite obvious. Now, perhaps they may have been overly intoxicated... however their behavior was unexcusable and completely not wanted or INVITED.
Now, the dissapointment- aside from the intial shock of being all dressed up in a fancy dancy dress (sticking out like a sore thumb) in a country bar- where jeans would have been suffice.... put those two morons aside and the terrible service from the mullet waitress...
This was an oppurtunity to get to know everyone- which didn't HAPPEN- and is the biggest dissapointment of all. Granted the circumstance, the animinity of the internet of course- and an ability to come across people you may not normally in a atmosphere that should have been welcoming and enticing- was an organizational nightmare. Being in a public setting with people outside the industry....without name tags, who had no sense of who was WHO, created uncertainty and uncomfortableness.
Lastly, i am a VERY adaptable and simplistic person. For me to feel as above mentioned- is with good reason. I am not an up to do person who is too good for the venue or anything of the sort. A mixture and combination of everything is what killed the night for me.
Now, before everyone SHOOTS me down- this is ONLY my perception and opinon and I and only me OWNS... I am absolutely elated if your night was much more enjoyable than mine- and by the sounds.... was. So, perhaps if another time comes, and mustard up enough nerve- i may attend again.
