How do you know it was bullshit? Why would you even question these people's statements when you weren't even there??? Don't call people bullshitters just because you don't like what they have to say.

May I say

Tonya and I were there early we left shortly after 9 at that time there was no one there except the organizer that we knew of, I am not too sure of his name I think he is Sheik but I dont know for sure I am not too good with names, well we were not introduced to anyone so I dont know if any others were there, there were a few other things happening that night TTC had a party and there was a pool league playing, so we mingled with the gentlemen from TTC and the ladies from mustang pool league, awesome pool league BTW I have been in valley and Carlsberg as well as Mustang and they are the best as far as I am concerned but on to the topic here. The place is not a dive, as some have suggested, they have done a very nice job restoring the place it looked very nice clean and well decorated for the type of venue it is. We heard the band play a bit very good it seemed, I am not too sure who we met I think it may have been Sheik I am bad with names sorry, he was very busy getting things ready that in itself deserves props. We did not stay for the party so I cannot comment on the events of the night but perhaps the reason not many came is because of BS like what is happening in this thread I mean seriously all of the bickering cant it be done in pm so we don't have to read through it to get to the relevant points of each thread???? Remember guys just as we are judged by our comments on here you are as well and if the ladies feel they will be coming out to a pissing match we will not feel compelled to stay, For future reference Sheik perhaps maybe at the next event you could have a female available to direct the guests and name tags your guests? Just a suggestion. Tonya and I had a nice evening anyways and we will attend the next event just a little later maybe.

Merry yeeeeee HAAAAAAAAA *Terb party*

Holy my oh my.... Where do i even begin? First off, hands off to the organizers- no pun or insult intended as what should follow. I can appreciate all the time invested in organising such an event, on any level and appreciate your dilagence- much like most.

HOWEVER- as a newbie to the industry, i was completely and utterly dissapointed, perhaps by my own expectations, or the dissatisfaction on a whole ruined my short stay at the party. The atmosphere, for one was completely off. I envisioned something perhaps a little more tasteful and was COMPLETELY out of place in sheek, beautiful black velvet dress. To my knowlegede, dress code was NOT addressed. Not to mention, the feeling of being comlpetely bombardod by TWO morons, who *honest to gosh* had no clue, couldn't get a clue if their lifes depended on it and smuthered us in negative drunken energy. *breathes*

With that said... absolutely no interaction occured with fellow terb members. Pardon me-actually... two very charming gentleman did accompany us *Jillian and I* at our table with our lovely two morons. Even that wasn't hint enough for them to leave. SECURITY? i saw one woman, who was in the bathroom- checking the stalls. Not once did any of them step in and dissolve or intervine the situation-which was quite obvious. Now, perhaps they may have been overly intoxicated... however their behavior was unexcusable and completely not wanted or INVITED.

Now, the dissapointment- aside from the intial shock of being all dressed up in a fancy dancy dress (sticking out like a sore thumb) in a country bar- where jeans would have been suffice.... put those two morons aside and the terrible service from the mullet waitress...

This was an oppurtunity to get to know everyone- which didn't HAPPEN- and is the biggest dissapointment of all. Granted the circumstance, the animinity of the internet of course- and an ability to come across people you may not normally in a atmosphere that should have been welcoming and enticing- was an organizational nightmare. Being in a public setting with people outside the industry....without name tags, who had no sense of who was WHO, created uncertainty and uncomfortableness.

Lastly, i am a VERY adaptable and simplistic person. For me to feel as above mentioned- is with good reason. I am not an up to do person who is too good for the venue or anything of the sort. A mixture and combination of everything is what killed the night for me.

Now, before everyone SHOOTS me down- this is ONLY my perception and opinon and I and only me OWNS... I am absolutely elated if your night was much more enjoyable than mine- and by the sounds.... was. So, perhaps if another time comes, and mustard up enough nerve- i may attend again.

It doesn't matter how mad you get Francesaca... I still want to have sex with you. I love your temper and I'm sure it carries over to the bedroom... or couch... or chair. :)

Pretty well how I feel about the party. If there was one thing that could have made it better it would have been name tags. I stayed for 2 beers and left. Glad I went to see what it was about, but a little dissapointed.

indeed.

You know, it makes me feel completely better- I for obvious reasons was a little hesitant to even suggest the party not being up to par 100%. Especially with alot of people not knowing me, it would easy to suggest or assume its a reflection of me- which obviously isn't the case regardless if anyone validated the point or not....however, i did go there with intentions of obviously putting a name to the faceless pictures, doing some PR and for the interaction. To go there and have what happened, is basically silently taking yourself to the slaughter house.

But, being optimistic- for the next get together i'll have to do a better job of making sure people know I am attending and make an effort to ensure this doesn't happen again.

We must have been at different times Francesca, or perhaps I just missed you and Gillian. If I had seen you ladies there I would have introduced myself. Oh well, maybe next time. Peace.

The party I missed, thank God!

Well, I missed it completely, and Francesca explained why. Somehow, with the confusion between different parties the same night, I got the sense that this just wasn't gonna happen. Not since Miranda - of blessed memory! - organized parties in a small bar on Bloor Street near High Park has there been anything acceptable for people with some taste or discrimination.

This is a great shame, because hobbiests and SPs can get together in a friendly amiable fashion; we can all meet each other, and we have faces to put to names, and cordial friendships - that may or may not lead to appointments - can result in a non-pressured way.

This obviously wasn't like that, and it's a pity. Regular gatherings - and not in strip clubs where the dancers resent whom they see as "competition" - can be wonderful fun. Hobbiests get to know each other, SPs can size us up without being pressured, and good times may, in time, turn into even better times.

Sorry this party - these parties - didn't work out. Sorry that Fracesca had such a miserable time, stuck with two bozos. But someone ought to be able to organize a cross-Board event that's pleasant and civilized and amiable and friendly...obviously, this wasn't one of them. Apart from the fact that I would have met Francesca, I've no regrets about missing this one - the experience sounds just like the last TERB event I went to, and the boat cruise for which I pay my money, and left before it got underway...

Cheers,

Again, I don't want to come across the wrong way here. It was definately a good night at a bar for me. The entertainment was good, the venue was good, and the service was good. I did infact meet a couple of fellow hobbyists who were great people. I guess I just expected more of a social atmosphere. Or maybe it is I who is the anti-social.

Littleboyblue- i indeed share some perspective on things that could have been improved at the party. I certainly hope that you don't associate the accessibilty as a reflection of your attendance and infer *perhaps* rightly that this was an inclination that anyone who needed accessiblilty wouldn't be accomidated.

Putting two and two together, i have come to the conclusion that we were amongest each others presences and would hardly classify you as being a freak. I personally- would have endugled myself in some sort of conversation, had i known you were from terb.

Unfortunetly as earlier stated, name tags were not readily available- making it difficult to disifer who was who- hence why you felt isolated. Regardless of if you are handicapped, in a wheel chair or whatever the case may be- i certainly hope you do not feel you were chastized for that reason.

In the short time i was there, i didn't see anything- which is a problem in its own... because much like yourself, i sat there with no interaction other then the person i came with, for the longest time as well. I can most definetly sympathize with your feelings and would have absolutely put an END to anyone bullying you, had i seen or witnessed it.

I certainly hope that you dont use this as a reason to delete yourself as a member.

Well at least someone had a good time! By the way Sheik, you don't have to make the next party accessible, because it's fairly obvious that terb doesn't want freaks like me around. Please remove my handle and account.

absolutely

Don' be silly. I always attempt to make the best out of anything. And i certainly don't over analize your thoughts and twist them into anything. I'm not being political here- my thoughts are just that.... also not to take away from anyone elses, or their time at the party. It was, what it was. For me, it wasn't spectacular, however for some- i would imgaine the exact opposite. Thank you for your insight.

Most of these guys wear name tags at work, and now you want them to wear them at night too?
