I think she's packing some nice tata's under those tight restrictive sports bras. She's gotta be at least C-cups on that tiny frame. Those miniskirts also suit her.
Leylah's got a great body, no doubt. Hope she doesn't make the mistake Genie made where she just focuses too much on looking hot in magazines. So far she
looks focused.

I'd be shocked if that happened.

Genie had model looks and came from a privileged family. She had everything given to her and did not have the required work ethic.

Leylah comes from a hard working family and seems to have a very different mentality than Genie.

Leylah made it to the US open final 2 years ago while her father was staying in a Florida condo that a friend of the family allowed them to stay. In Quebec they were at that point homeless and without a car.

So yes definitely different mentality.

I saw her in person last Sunday. All smile and beautiful.

You can judge that it's wrong to have a family invest all their money in their kids for a sport. Well that's what father of Serena and Venus did. Just like Leyla's father. My youngest kid was asked to join tennis canada in a school program. Cost was about 15k minimum per year... He said to me 'dad they want me as a partner for the prospect... it's fine do not spend that. I'm good but at 14 I will never be a FAA'. I love my kid :)

Leylah's older sister Jodeci is a practicing dentist. I believe Agata Swiatek is now also a practicing dentist. Agata started out as the tennis prodigy, then she suffered an ACL injury that ended her career. Had she stayed healthy she may have been terrifying, look at how much bigger she is than Iga. They recently played doubles together for Ukrainian relief.

Hubert Hurkacz once again involved in another titanic match-up, this time with Carlito. Again he just barely missed taking him out. Carlito's victory against Joker at Wimbledon can be attributed to Joker's 5 set meat grinder against the Pole.

With no Canadians left, I'm going to the National Tennis Center to support Jannik Sinner. Carlito plays before him, hopefully I can catch some of his match as well. I'm Uber-ing there, driving in York U is a nightmare.

I don't watch a lot of tennis but it could be argued that it is the toughest sport! Last night Leylah was getting her butt kicked, but unlike other sports she has to grind it out - the day after a 2.5 hour match. She isn't under a helmet, they cant call in a relief tennis player, or change lines. She can't fake an injury. Baseball players get usually 4 at bats a game, maybe a couple defensive plays, and their manager gives them days off now and then. Hockey players play 20 minutes a game. She has to hit dozens (hundreds?) of balls and return hundreds at high speed.

The composure and determination and strength (her left arm is a thing of beauty all on its own) and confidence to go on are all worthy of high praise.

You really nailed it. Tennis is one tough sport. And when you lose.... you lose alone. That's really hard. Players needs to be so fit. Like soccer player. Soccer player runs an average of 10km per game.

Fuck my son who was 13 last year played 2 games in a single day for a tournament. The coach put bluethoot sensor to his ankle and the end result show he ran 17 km that day on the pitch!

Tennis or soccer is so demanding physically!

Ash Barty hated the travel and quit tennis. If you think the Tours are tough, the Challenger Series is downright brutal. Bianca Fernandez is rated too low to qualify for the Canadian Open, Genie Bouchard lost her qualification match to Danielle Collins.

I had to prepare for my tennis adventure last night, no drink throughout the day. It's brutta figura to be taking a piss in the middle of a match.

Carlito looked tired last night, he had two tough matches against the NCAA Champion Ben Shelton and Hubert Hurkacz. This is the second time Tommy Paul has beaten him at the Canadian Open. The passing shot did him in, other players will make note of it. Jannik Sinner could have cruised against Monfils, he has an annoying habit of eating games. He was up a break in the second set then promptly gifted Monfils a break back.

Arnya Sabalenka is too erratic to be No. 1, it's up to Leggy Supermodel to challenge Iga. Pretty in blush pink - another titanic match.

People often say that Genie Bouchard comes from wealthy Westmount family.

Jessica Pegula comes from a billionaire family.
Bouchard does some SportsNet pre-match analysis sometimes, I was way off, I prejudged her and thought she was more of a bimbo, but I was completely off. Apologies, Genie ! Regarding Pegula, what a great fallback after tennis, part Bills owner !

Ok, this might be my final comment on Laver in this thread.

When he won his first Grand Slam his opponents were all amateurs because all the best players were professionals and ineligible.

When he himself turned professional in December 1962 he was then barred from playing in the slams for several years. Who knows how many more slams he could have won if he was eligible?

Does Genie do the Sportsnet gig in English?

Tessa Bonhomme was once interviewed for a French TV job but her French was not up to par despite her French surname.

What a load of garbage, to win the Canadian Open Leggy Supermodel (Elena Rybakina) has to play two matches in one day. Might as well just give the title to Jessica Pegula.
