Fact: Sick Kids Hospital has come out against the Ford plan because their plan is completely different calling for smaller class sizes and a staggered start, Barbara Yaffe the associate chief medical officer of health has used the words "we'll see how it goes" when it comes to reopening the schools. Very reassuring words to parents when they are sending their kids back to school, leading to a petition of 300k signed and Boy Wonder to have press conferences that were unscheduled breaking up his selfie opportunities on Twitter.
Fact: That $500 million that Boy Wonder keeps bragging about is not new money, it is reserves that school boards accumulated (largely through the Liberals years) that he is telling them to dip into to use.
Fact: talk to anyone who lives in maybe a couple of hours outside of Toronto and you will see how great the internet service is, they used equipment that was already in the schools, so nothing new there.

The union is pushing back despite what the government has offered in terms of funding for more resources. To be honest, I think they are being offered too much.

Now Ford wants to use the shut down to try to force contract concessions.
He's going to end up putting teachers back on the picket line or ignoring the province.
