Sweden COVID-19 Death Rate Lower Than Spain, Italy and U.K.
Sweden's seven-day rolling average of daily new deaths has been mostly declining since around mid-April.

As long as they don't count death rate compared to their neighbours....Anders Tegnell, the chief epidemiologist at Sweden's public health agency, noted last week: "In many ways the voluntary measures we put in place in Sweden have been just as effective as complete lockdowns in other countries,"
First of all Sweden has twice the population than Denmark, Finland or Norway.Lets see. Much higher death rate than their neighbours who did lock down and just as much economic damage. Sounds like a successful plan.
Death rate per 1M (as of today)
Sweden 568 (5th highest in Europe ignoring San Marino and Andorra)
Denmark 106
Finland 59
Norway 47
At least you finally admitted how much trump/USA has fucked up.You should be looking at daily new infections.
Wow, what a fucked up statement. Let the fat folks and people with underlying conditions die! I guess everyone in your family is strong and healthy?Second of all, you shouldnt solely look at death rates because those can come down to other factors like more diabetics, more obese people, more older people....etc...etc. All those are contributing factors to a higher death rate.
*facepalm*Wow, what a fucked up statement. Let the fat folks and people with underlying conditions die! I guess everyone in your family is strong and healthy?
Then it's simple, Social distancing and mask-wearing in indoor public places yet your fellow amigos fight everything. Scream about lockdowns but do not want to take any preventive measures to avoid spikes and lockdowns.*facepalm*
You're a typical Liberal, all emotions and no brains.
I never said let them die, I said if you want to stop a pandemic you have to focus on daily new infections first
But Phil, you get that those statistics are proportionate to population size, huh? So absolute demographic size is not relevant to the comparison.First of all Sweden has twice the population than Denmark, Finland or Norway.
Second of all, you shouldnt solely look at death rates because those can come down to other factors like more diabetics, more obese people, more older people....etc...etc. All those are contributing factors to a higher death rate.
You should be looking at daily new infections. Sweden has done very well in that department. They have done as well as other countries who are the same size as them, but they've done so without shutting down their entire economy, and without making everyone wear masks everywhere.

Dude really, try to follow my posts before making stupid comments like this. I was never against social distancing. Then it's simple, Social distancing and mask-wearing in indoor public places yet your fellow amigos fight everything. Scream about lockdowns but do not want to take any preventive measures to avoid spikes and lockdowns.
You're lumped into the Amigo pot because of the nonsense you post.Dude really, try to follow my posts before making stupid comments like this. I was never against social distancing.
I'm not against partial lockdowns either. I'm only against wearing masks in certain indoor places
Which nonsense would that be??You're lumped into the Amigo pot because of the nonsense you post
Well for starters Sweden has the 2nd highest asthma rate in the world at 20%. Thats 1 in 5.:But Phil, you get that those statistics are proportionate to population size, huh? So absolute demographic size is not relevant to the comparison.
If anything, Denmark is more exposed because it is smaller and the population more concentrated.
If you want to "prove" that Sweden was more exposed due to % of already unhealthy folks or some other vulnerability, can you produce stats and evidence that go a little further than your usual "Libtards suck!" argument??
The combined populations of those 3 is about 50% higher than Sweden, yet Sweden has roughly 5 times as many deaths. Deaths in Sweden from C-19 are around 5,800. Deaths in the other 3 countries combined is about 1200.First of all Sweden has twice the population than Denmark, Finland or Norway.
Is there any evidence of any significant differences in those factors between Sweden & its neighbours? Swedes have a high rate of people living alone that should have protected them more than most others. Likewise they have one of the most excellent health care systems in the world.Second of all, you shouldnt solely look at death rates because those can come down to other factors like more diabetics, more obese people, more older people....etc...etc. All those are contributing factors to a higher death rate.
Comparing Sweden with other countries who are not their neighbours is like comparing apples with banana peels. Not very useful. You should be looking at daily new infections. Sweden has done very well in that department. They have done as well as other countries who are the same size as them, but they've done so without shutting down their entire economy, and without making everyone wear masks everywhere.
And as I pointed out earlier, this is most likely due to other factors.Sweden's total deaths relative to their neighbours is horrific
