and now Cesc is slowly admitting he is interested in the lure of Real Madrid.
Cesc did say that he will leave if Wenger leaves, he also said it would great to play for Barca later in his career (he is Catalan and played in Barca's youth team) but I never heard him say that he wants to go to Real. I think that's Real talking, not Cesc.

I think one transfer (Chelsea owned him and stashed him at PSV for 2 years) that was overlooked was Alex going to Chelsea, I really rate him. He will provide the cover for Terry and Carvalho that they didn't have last year. Also, with Sven and Keane managing, it should be a very interesting year.

Chelsea are finally using their brains in the transfer market, i think after the years of spending and not getting anything in CL has finally woken them up to be a little smarter. Alex will be a great buy, also i think getting rid of Robben would be better, that idiot just runs like a fanny and i rate Malouda and Cole far more superior then them. They need to sort out the contracts for Terry and Lamps. Personally i'd do whatever it takes to keep Terry happy rather than Lamps. Notice how Chelsea went on a slump when Terry and Cech were out?

Fabregas will stay for at least this season, because Madrid have already named their coach for the upcoming season, and there were some rumours Wenger was contacted.

Arsenal already are behind, they dont really need to get going because they arent winning anything this season!

I have a feeling Schuster is just a quick fill in, the Real Madrid board have indicated how they want their team to win with Style and well Getafe were one of the most boring teams in La Liga. Wenger on the other hand....he's got style and considering he hasn't renewed his contract....it just seems like a nice set up for him to leave soon.

I think Wenger would be a great fit for Real Madrid
Will never happen. Wenger likes control and stability. At RM the President and Sporting Director decide which players they buy. As well Becks, you played under 6 coaches in your 4 years there, and winning doesn't guarantee that you keep your job, who would want to go there.

Many would love to coach Real Madrid. The problem is the collection of stars they had with the over-hyped expectations of not just winning but looking good when they do it. (a la Barca 2005, 2006)

Even though he played well, letting Beckham go is a good football move, even if it's a bad financial move. I think Raul should be let go as well. Keep Reyes, get Cesc, and get some solid role players around the handful of stars, and let Wenger coach.(If he leaves Arsenal) And stop the foolishness of getting a new coach every freaking year.

Ummm Real Madrid is one of the biggest clubs in the World. They also have have a distinct history and unlike Arsenal, if Wenger does go to Real Madrid he will have unlimited funds. Also note, Real Madrid have an amazing youth program that will definitely become of interest to Wenger.

Wenger knows how to win with style, he loves to attack and he loves the pace, he will be appreciated more than the coaches of the past who took a much more defensive stance. Also, lets look at the big picture here, what sort of direction is Arsenal actually taking? Even William Gallas has questioned the intention of the club.

The ultimate question is what can Arsenal provide that Real Madrid cannot? Which team has a better chance at winning a league and a Champs League? Figure that one out. At his stage of his career, i'm pretty sure Wenger doesn't give a rats ass about the money but more so adding a CL win to his resume.

Ryan Babel signs with Liverpool. So now they're back to having 4 starting forwards. Kuyt, Babel, Torres, and Crouch. It will be interesting who will get the playing time. Torres and Kuyt seem to be a lock.

Saviola makes a move from Barca to Real Madrird.

And to add more dismantling of the old Arsenal team, Freddie Ljungberg seems to be heading to Man City or Fiorentina.

Babel is mostly a left forward, so he'll compete with Alonso and that other guy ...forgot his name

I can tell you one of them isnt Xabi Alonso!
What happened to Alonso, did they sell him???
(Crap, I'm not up to date on transfers)

Kewell, Pennant
So you're saying those 2 will compete with Babel for LW?????

In that case Babel will win, he has phenomenal speed, good dribbling and a wicked shot.
Dont believe me, youtube his name and tell me what you find

Alonso is no winger. He's right down the middle, and there's no way Liverpool will get rid of him. And I have no doubt that Babel will start. With Kewell's injuries and Pennants lack of production, I'm sure Babel will start.

Andrea Pirlo speaks; he says that there is no reason why Milan cannot win every challenge set before them. Taking into account his record of achievement till now - would you bet against him?

Manchester City have signed Rolando Bianchi; he was once a Lazio protigy and scored 19 goals for lowly Catania last season. His reason for moving to City is that he wants to play for Sven. He's not a flashy striker, but he's uber-determined and very good with his head (typical Italian striker). Regardless of the outcome opposing defenders will know they have been in a fight. Which begs the question - will he get the distribution?

I hope so, the Scousers spent 26 mil on Torres, 17 mill on Babel, Babel is unproven but he's still young.

Torres only scored 14 goals in 36 matches in Liga, not exactly world class, especially when a
lot were penalty kicks.

If they both flop (which is quite possible) Benitez is in big trouble

LMAO.....Schuster.....ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!

Fernando Torres may be the dark horse that gets Liverpool the Premiership. There is no middle ground with the Castillian; he will either flop miserably or set the Premiership on fire.

Juve will be lucky to get a place in the Champions League this year. They have raw young talent that may not be ready for prime time. Pavel Nedved is sticking around for one more year. If Liverpool doesn't break through this season expect Steven Gerrard to take his place for 2008-09.
