Solution to the Pitbull attacks ?

punish owners who misteat dogs.

banning breeds will do nothing, idiots who want big dogs that can scare people will just buy mastiffs and abuse them.

I saw the BIGGEST ENGLISH Mastiff ever in my life...220 pounds, holy shit did my heart stop when i entered this guys house. F'in HUGE. Unreal, I was scared, nothing between us, but a babygate lol.
The female was 180 and docile, but this male was Alpha and f'in scary, so I just fed him baby carrots, so he'd like me. haha

The thing that distinguishes human beings from animals is that humans have the capacity to rise above their instincts.

A pit bull has the animal instinct to fight and kill with tremendous force. They are bred as attack dogs. The Pit Bull Dog has a bone crushing bite that can remove limbs from children. Not a house dog! A small child who is attacked by a Pit Bull has about a 40 second life expectancy.

A Pit bull and a Pit Viper both belong in a pit, not in a house.

These animals are naturally aggressive.

in europe they are still called "nanny dogs" they are about as aggressive as a pomeranian with the right owners.

My point is why do people need pitbulls.. they are inbred and obviously dangerous. Most people own them as an extension of their dick. They don't know how to train or control them. The I look cool because I have a tough dog attitude.

Having a lion would be the same type of thing. I couldn't train or control it.

i trained and control mine. have done so for over 10 years. but i had a golden that bit my kid ond i had to get rid of it.
it is an owner issue.

i will go one further. my dogs i "took" from someone who was negtlecting them. so there goes your "macho" argument wjhere i am concerned. they would have been dead if i didnt take them in. i trained them and have not had one problem with them and would expect lightining to hit your penis before my dogs attacked anything or anyone.

I am very sure you are in the minority, re the training and control aspect.

I guess my question is, why would somebody want to own a pet that could at any given time, attack somebody, including the owner.
And either hurt them seriously or even kill them.

i am not a trainer. just someone who trained his own dogs. and yes it is an owner issue. each dog is as different as people are. should we ban all people because some have killed others? no. dogs can't make that distinction? bullshit.

a properly trained dog knows how to act. and if it trained for work(like a police services dog) then they are trianed to an even higher level and can distinguish more then an average dog could.
