I think you're missing the entire point of the thread.
I don't disagree on how movies are rated or what a lack of marketing (which you seemed to imply, that I will take you at your word for) can do, but this is off topic.
Okay, but again off topic as this has nothing to do with this controversy.
In Canada we have far more DEI policies and practices than the US.
So in my opinion we are just as informed/experienced.
I also think "You don't live here, so you don't know" is a cop out.
Just because you live in the US does not mean you have first hand interactions with all these government institutions and their DEI policies.
It really depends on your position, work and circumstances in life and therefore the majority of Americans are none the wiser and rely on the same sources that I do for information.
However, this is again off topic.
To remind you, the topic of this thread is that this movie flopped because it was "woke".
My response to that is, that it is more likely that it is not a very good movie that is entertaining.
Most people don't politicize their movie watching experience.
But some people like the OP seem to.
You keep on ragging about the obsession of the MAGA / RIght on gender and sexual orientation...
Yet I have not seen you rag about the Left Obsession on Trans trying to compete on women sports or pushing their identity based on how they feel...oh wait...because you support it and think a trans is a woman even if in possession of a penis at birth.... yes yes?

Since you've put it out there: What part of Snow White (2025) is harmful to children, especially compared to the 1937 version?
And disney is netting billions of dollars per year. Hard to back up the "go broke" part with this objective reality.
I don't feel strongly that is the case. Disney perhaps stupidly got caught up in politics. It seemed like their executives and employees wanted to use their influence in political matters.
However, I think there are serious issues with the product and intellectual property.
People with leftist views neither created this thread, nor did they bring up the topic of trans women.
Only the MAGA loves did.
