I’ve listened to my Palestinian friends share stories of losing 10+ members of their family to the israeli attacks since 2023, I have met children without legs or arms and i physically can’t watch her knowing the things she has said and her stance. Military service is mandatory for Israeli citizens. I do not think her casting was a major factor in the movie's underperformance. Audience's increasing indifference towards disney live action remakes and rachel zegler's weird antics caused it to flop imo. Though I have to say gal's acting range is very limited and her delivery wooden which especially stands out when she is expected to a play a Disney villain. Kathryn Hanh would have done a better job

Served in the military comes with the caveat that Israel has conscription for its citizens. According to Wikipedia, she was conscripted as a teen straight out of high school and served for two years (minimum serving period for women) as a combat fitness trainer.

She wasn't just posting about Palestine though.
She had a lot of opinions to share about the original work, half of the voting population among others. She is well within her rights to have and express these opinions, but it was probably not the best idea to do so while leading a big-budget studio tentpole movie. Disney certainly felt that way when the movie's producers had to intervene and hire people to pre-approve her social media posts.
You are overstating the impact of a leftist boycott. Gal has had her share of big hits, both as part of an ensemble cast (Fast & Furious) and as a lead (Wonder Woman). It’s not like you all just discovered her nationality yesterday.
What makes you think she hates Palestinians? She probably hates hamas not Palestinians.
