Seeing an SP in public

I ran into a retired favorite recently in Cambridge, while I was in a Canadian Tire. (Who knew SPs need washer fluid!) We smiled, then ran into each other again in the parking lot, where it was obvious we were both alone. We ended up having lunch and a nice visit. She was attending U of T (engineering I think), and was home visiting her folks for the weekend. I'd always figured she would do well and it was nice to see that she was on her way.

In spite of my tongue-in-cheek-not-so-subtle suggestions, we parted company with a peck on the cheek. Sigh. Her butt was as nice in tight jeans as it was naked...

Here is a related question with an unusual twist. Have you ever seen an SP/MPA/Dancer "in the wild" with a civilian who you also know:Eek:? Happened to me once.
Something similar happened to me once. In November, 1992, I went to a Leafs - Penguins game at Maple Leaf Gardens with Mika, a gorgeous Filapina-French exotic dancer who worked at many different clubs from 1991 to early 1993, (Fillmore's, HOL Queensway, and Runway 66, among others).

I knew she was a huge fan of Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr. In April, 1992 I had traveled to Niagara Falls, NY to see the American Gladiators live tour. When I told her about that, she said "I wish you had told me before. I would have totally gone with you!".

When I saw the Leafs 1992-93 schedule, I noted when the Penguins would be in town, and I called in a favour at work, and was able to get the Teamsters Local Union's season's tickets for that game, first row Reds, right on the blue line. I had great tickets for a game against the Stanley Cup champs, and I wanted to be there with the hottest woman I knew.

I then spent about two weeks trying to find which club she was dancing at, eventually finding her at Tony's East, about a week before the game, where she accepted my invitation. This was to be a one time friend zone civilian date, (not take out), and understood to be exactly that by both of us.

I gave her one of the tickets, so she could meet me at the game. She showed up near the end of the first period, as she had been outside helping two of her friends obtain scalped tickets, (scalper prices drop dramatically, after the game has started).

Mika was wearing a Mario Lemieux game shirt, and her two friends, (whom I met after the game), were dressed as Jagr and Paul Coffey. I was wearing a V-Neck powder blue sweater, which I said was the '1967-68 Ken Schinkel' jersey.

I brought a bag of pistachio nuts, which we shared during the game. I told Mika that "If we were on Studs, (a "dating game" TV show from that era), one of the questions for 'which guy said it?' would be "One taste of my salty nuts, and I had her eating out of the palm of my hand".

Anyway, after Pittsburgh scored a goal, Hockey Night In Canada put the two of us on TV for a couple of seconds. People at work told me they'd seen me on TV, and Mika's friends told her the same thing, but neither group knew we were there together.

Two guys who do not see escorts giving us advice on how to interact with with the ladies. Priceless.
Well said. I made a similar comment in the 'which movie describes your sex life' thread. I'll freely admit that I experience 'lean' patches, where I have to live vicariously through the sex life of my cat, but I have a long history of infrequent hobbying.

I've long held the opinion that Petzel has unrequited love for Ceiling Cat, kind of like Chester in the Warner Bros Sylvester cartoon Tree for Two, (the one where a black panther has escaped from the zoo).

I don't read Rockslinger's posts often enough to have formed any opinions.

It's okay to say hi and maybe smile and wave.
I logged in just to clarify this statement: it's okay to say hi TO ALONA exclusively, it is not okay in general. The vast majority of SPs do not share this sentiment.

The default is ignore. You don't know her situation nor her yours.

I don't know how many guys remember queen Victoria from studio B. I made eye contact with her and I was with my wife at the time. I was at Yonge and eglinton. She looked down and kept walking.

+1. One of the (several) problems with Petzel's posts is they tend to be inane short sentences stating the very obvious. Sometimes navigating through a few threads without seeing him all over the place is liking walking in the rain and not getting wet.

I get around.
I believe the rules of etiquette suggest the proper form of greeting is to run up to her and in a loud clear voice say,

"Good to see you, I almost didn't recognize you with your clothes on!"

60% of the time, it works every time.

Hmm well to be honest, strangers that I have never met before smile and say hi to me all the time as I walk by. :) Some even beep their horns and holler... I get creeped out though when they start following me with their cars or when they park and run after me. It's a girl thing, I think. Just don't walk up to a girl and act like you know them!
I guess if it was done really casually it might be okay, but the generally accepted industry standard has always been ignore. It's always hot to recognize someone, make eye contact, remember each other naked and have a dirty little secret no one else knows.

I can't say I've ever had someone park and run after me (what?!) but I hate honking and catcalling and street harassment in general. A few months ago someone in the grocery store followed me around the store and told me I was a racist because I didn't want to talk to him or give him my name.

If both of us were truly alone, I would think it nothing short of rude if she didn't acknowledge my presence with at least a polite "hi" while passing. I would not repeat with someone who could not manage this simple act of manners. If either of us were with someone a smile, no words can always be explained. If either of you can't manage that then you both must be socially challenged.

You'd be surprised; it's the 1% who misinterpret "saying hi casually" as "stare for a few minutes, come over, say hi, wink pointedly, walk away facing backwards" that make me sad this needs to be clarified. Mutual respect and discretion for all :)

I'd have to disagree.

I was walking through the mall one day with friends, and a client that I've seen waved and called out at me.

SPs can at least play it off like you were just some random guy that was saying hello for no good reason.
Honestly, it's not fun trying to explain to my nosy friends why a 50 year old man is waving at me and trying to get my attention.

Discretion is a vital part of this industry. I'm pretty sure my clients would not want me to wave and smile at them, while their wives/kids are around either.

In the bedroom, my clients will have 100% of my attention; but out of the bedroom, 100% discretion should be used.
