I find MOJO is a little too retro as I like to listen to new artists as well. I find that UNCUT provides more new names to explore along with some good articles on older artists. As well there's also an over 70 minute CD included with each issue which is a sampler of new releases. It helps you decide which artists are worthy of spending money on.Bone said:Jack White is better than Mark Knopfler?
I like them both but...COME ON!
Just shows how they cow down to popular trends instead of presenting a true perspective.
Probably why I never read this crap.
Rolling Stone is a shit as SPIN
You want a GOOD music mag?
Buy MOJO from the UK.
The best music journalism you'll ever find, period.
Its ~$11 at most newstands,...totally worth it.

I think it's understood that when a magazine posts a list like this, it's their personal preference. It's obviously a very subjective matter, not objective like who's the richest man.Bud Plug said:The list only reflects the musical tastes of whoever contributed to it. The title of the list should have been "Rolling Stone's Favorite 100 Guitarists".
I thought the same until I tried to play some of his stuff. Sure, it's not the most complex, but he was a little ahead of the pack when it came to alternate tuning.train said:Thre is absolutely no way that Keith Richards belongs on this list . He is barely competent . Not saying the music isn't great but not exactly challenging from an axe standpoint .
