The first movie I ever saw on my own as a 14 year ol The Blackboard Jungle, starring Glen Ford, Vic Morrow and a new young actor, Sidney Poitier which was about a high school classroom that a student intimidated his teacher, played by Sandy Dennis. It was a great movie that scared the shit out of me thinking that was going on in schools?, but the best thing about the movie was that it opened with a closeup scene of Bill Haley and the Comets appearing and singing as loud a possible their big hit song, Rock Around The Clock. I had never heard that before and it just blew my mind and I became a R&#R fan from that day and the movie ended with doing the same song. Changed my whole perspective of life.

Whatever happened to the Willows, the female group, not the guys, who had one minor hit with "My Kinda Guy,"

I liked this group, too, although this version of the Willows goes back to 1956, "Church Bells May Ring." These guys still played on the oldies circuit for a while.

One of their best, particularly the bass playing.
Yes - "Roundabout"

When they were inducted in the HOF in 2017, Geddy Lee stepped in to play bass for Chris Squire. Love the respect.

One of the very best rock ballads as far as I'm concerned. The musicianship is incredible with this group and Bobby's vocals are stellar

Harry Nilsson was a great singer, known for his song, Everybody's Talking, from the great movie Midnight Cowboy starring Dustin Hoffman and John Voigjt, one of my favourite movies
I really liked his music. He's got a pretty good catalogue of songs he wrote, but Everybody's Talkin' wasn't one of them. It was written by Fred Neil. (I could only remember Fred. Had to look up the last name.)

And I think that Midnight Cowboy is the only movie in history that had 2 actors nominated for Best Actor in the same movie.
