Saw Cher the other night on the Graham Norton show on BBC 1, born in 1946, looked 30 years old, her skin was stretched so far back and when she talked, her lips didn't even move and she must have a pound of skin tied in a ball behind her neck. LOL. Harry Nilsson was a great singer, known for his song, Everybody's Talking, from the great movie Midnight Cowboy starring Dustin Hoffman and John Voigjt, one of my favourite movies
A rare Phil Spector production...
He`s not Heavy, he's my Brother, and, Bus Stop, two of my favourites.
The first movie I ever saw on my own as a 14 year ol The Blackboard Jungle, starring Glen Ford, Vic Morrow and a new young actor, Sidney Poitier which was about a high school classroom that a student intimidated his teacher, played by Sandy Dennis. It was a great movie that scared the shit out of me thinking that was going on in schools?, but the best thing about the movie was that it opened with a closeup scene of Bill Haley and the Comets appearing and singing as loud a possible their big hit song, Rock Around The Clock. I had never heard that before and it just blew my mind and I became a R&#R fan from that day and the movie ended with doing the same song. Changed my whole perspective of life.
