Sure thing, Hatchet.

Hold me to my statement - LOL!
I'm afraid to think of the repercussions if you are wrong.

Just curious as I saw nothing that was a designation of who was Antifa. What do they look like? Do they have a logo? A banner? Just asking.
From what I recall Antifa generally wears all black and they have some type of red insignia (cant remember what though)

EDIT: or maybe their flag is red. I dunno. Here's an old pic

Clearly Soro's tentacles are at work here. His cousins controlling the mainstream media narrative are trying to discredit Trump's plans to declare Antifa a terrorist organization.
George Soros is paying me right now!!

And what does past behaviour have to do with possible future behaviour??
On a similar line of thinking why is everybody predicting that there will be violence in Toronto? Just because that's what happened in the US?

ANtiFa are mostly middle aged guys helping dox fascists and Manning medical supplies. Their logo is a variant of this.

You are all thinking of Black Bloc. Black Bloc is a tactic/thing you do at protests. To become black block you show up in black, cover your face, and throw down with the police.

That's it. Some Antifa people do black bloc, most don't. (BB is there to fight police, they don't care about fascism, they would just rather fight people they don't like and police are it.)

Some Black Bloc are into property damage as symbolic "strikes against capitalism" but mostly they do property damage to get police to come fight them.

They are young punks with too much energy. Some would happily switch sides of they thought there would be more interesting fighting. Some have actual political beliefs.

There are also groups of "anarchists" who like to do Black Bloc actions. They tend to pretend they are doing anti capitalist work or are otherwise rebels. They might throw out "propaganda of the deed" or random Kropotkin quotes. Often they will sound like Butler1000 does now about how everything needs to be overturned and the parties or powers that be need to learn to be afraid.

They are mostly full of shit and are actually just there because they like to break stuff and fight people but feel good about themselves when they do so.

The picture Phil has thre are probably "anarchist" black bloc types.

Its all over twitter. Do a search.

All rumors so far though.
I think they may have telegraphed the riot too much, so it probably wont happen now.
The surprise attack has been ruined

Not really hard core as a rule.
More like vaguely left, vaguely anti-capitalist, and really disliking Fascism. That is what unites all the random Antifa people. A given group that is doing something might be more one than the other but anytime you have a bunch of them because there is something big to deal with you will find people from liberal Democrats to DSA to anarcho-syndalists to flat-out Stalinist Tankies.

It isn't a coherent, organized bunch.

Thanks. I honestly do not know what designations they have. They seem to be a very loose type of organization with no formal leader or headquarters. or stated purpose or charter etc.

Exactly... they aren't an 'organization', to the utter dismay of all the desperate right-wingers.
Can't label an organization as a 'terrorist organization', if no organization exists.
But according to orangeman, Antifa is a terrorist organization.
And his cohort of historically stupid supporters eat it up.

If a peaceful protest prevents the police to do their job to prevent looting and arrest the looters (e.g., by continuing the protest and not clearing the streets when the looting happens or blocking the roads so that police cannot get where needed fast) it is no longer a peaceful protest. "Peaceful protectors" were fast to get the truck driver who carefully drove into the crowd (no injuries) - they beat him up and hand him over to the police. However, I did not hear any news saying that peaceful protectors caught looters and hand them to the police. When bricks starting to fly, peaceful protesters must go home immediately so that police can do their job to arrest people who through bricks.
I have seen plenty of videos of peaceful protesters blocking stores, stopping looters, cleaning up after looters, calling them out on various SM networks.

Plenty of it around. Just google and you will see tons.

I could see them handing them over to police if they weren't so afraid of being, you know.... shot and killed.

Not quite. It's mostly disenfranchised twenty-something males that come from father-less homes. And we all know who to thank for that movement. (And no it wasn't simply Reagan signing the No-Fault divorce laws. Goes much deeper than that.)

Damn JFK and LBJ for giving welfare to single moms, so they and their kids could have enough to eat and pay the rent back in the 1960's!

If it wasn't for that foolishness, America would be just a big, happy episode of Leave It to Beaver right now!!!

Long story short. They actually encouraged single parent families, perhaps unintentionally but that is the result.
