Kind of a pete rose type. Terrible human but incredible at his craft. Heard goalies used to get out of the way when he wound up for a slapper. He was both kinds of slapper.

Pretty fit guy in his prime I would venture.....Rest easy Bobby....You entertained many.

Hull probably best left winger ever. Better than Harvey "Busher" Jackson.

He came to a game of ours once..I was in awe of the size of his shoulders...some kid asked him how he could curve his stick like yours....and he said don't..cus even I don't know where the puck is going 1/2 the time...LOL

Bobby Hull was before my time but no doubt he's one of the best to have ever played. Condolences to his family.
It also should be noted that he was never convicted (or even charged) with domestic violence.
I guess that doesn't matter though since he's been found guilty of being subhuman in the court of public opinion.

Yes he was...1986 he was charged with assault and battery on his third wife, she dropped the charges...his first wife ended in divorce after she reported several abusive incidents.

I have a vague memory of watching him in an NHL All-star game in the late ‘60’s on the same line as two Maple Leafs, Keon and Ellis. They were flying on that ice as I recall.

Howe sat out a few years before joining the WHA did he not? Maybe a little to old for that big ice surface over there.

Yes I forgot about Sanderson. He was as good a centre man as there was in the NHL for a stretch there. A lot tougher than people gave him credit for as well.

It was difficult for a woman to charge her husband with domestic violence back in those days. Having read the article that I just posted, I have no doubt that he beat his wife.
