So some may say that abortion is a right over one's body, but we clearly have examples where governments regulate matters pertaining to our bodies.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Canadian Courts have not found your citizens have a guaranteed right to an abortion under the Canadian Constitution. The Supreme Court of Canada merely decided against unreasonable restrictions that were in place in 1988. From what I understand, abortion is de facto legal in Canada but has not been codified as such by your Courts or your Parliament.

Because scumbags like PP, despite saying publicly he would leave the issue of abortion intact, has voted 5 times against officially codify abortion into a law.

i you read i wrote that the court decision put the right for abortion to the states. Which is catastrophic because the poorest states are the one who needs abortion the most. But all these states are in vast majority red. And they are all banning it.

For the most part, they aren't banning it, they are restricting it. But I do agree, they seem to have gone too far, but at least they protect the rights of the unborn, unlike states like Minnesota, Colorado, etc. that place no restriction on the baby, right up to birth.
