The U.S. Constitution doesn't prevent people from holding and expressing political views based on their spirituality.
While you bring up the U.S. Constitution, it doesn't really address an issue like abortion. Abortion is a medical matter just like other regulated areas like controlled substances. So some may say that abortion is a right over one's body, but we clearly have examples where governments regulate matters pertaining to our bodies.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Canadian Courts have not found your citizens have a guaranteed right to an abortion under the Canadian Constitution. The Supreme Court of Canada merely decided against unreasonable restrictions that were in place in 1988. From what I understand, abortion is de facto legal in Canada but has not been codified as such by your Courts or your Parliament.

In any event, I don't think our courts are really suppose to put much focus on cases that are essentially "he said-she said" as you put it or even "she said". If your Courts and our Courts basically treated verbal accusations as confirmation of wrongdoing going forward, we would truly have fucked up judicial systems.
