The fact that Scarberians WANT a subway is fucking irrelevant.. I want a woman with huge fucking tits to come by my office everyday, sit under my desk, and blow me while I respond to emails.. It doesn't mean that it's the best idea (or justifiable if I choose to spend the money on doing such a thing).. It would be one thing if only Scarberians property taxes were going up. Then I'd be saying "Who cares, let them shit in their own bed if they want".

I mentioned David Miller because you cite the slashing of services as detrimental to taxpayers when the opposite is not necessarily true (as with Ford's predecessor).

Even if it's out of the goodness of his heart, it begs the question, is he really that irrelevant at his own business that they can afford to not have him around at all and still pay him enough money so that he can do shit like buy his brother a car? I run a small business (perhaps 5% of the size of Deco Labels and Tags) and it's largely a full-time job..

Maybe Doug really has very little to do with the ongoing success of Deco Labels and Tags..

Yes, Doug definitely IS a shareholder (of Doug Ford Holdings which owns the company).

Even still, that holdings company pays out Doug's Mom, crackhead sister, other brother Randy, Rob, AND him.. Are dividends from that company SO healthy that it can afford him a lifestyle where he can do shit like buy Robbie a fucking Cadillac and STILL pay out the rest of the family a living wage? I guess maybe.. But I'd be more inclined to believe that Doug's still on payroll.

Guy, the Scarborough subway ain't ever getting built. Robby just promised it to the lower income families out that way in exchange for votes. He never cared if it got built. Whether it gets built or not or is the best choice isn't the issue. Just saying that if it's popular for voters in Scarborough, maybe it means that they don't want an LRT running along roads that might cause gridlock. The subway is three stops for now but doesn't mean it can't expand. If the mayor has one vote, than obviously, others concurred. That's politics.

Back when he was a councilor I would see him have the occasional pint or 2 or 3 or 8. He's a big guy and he liked his beer. This all seem to change when he became Mayor. Though I still supported him until this latest scandal. He needs help, alot of people are there to support him but he has to stop. He is a run away train that is going to crash !

I think if he takes a couple of months off, straightens up, looses a few pounds he will be ready to the re-election. Of all the ones running, he is the only one that has business knowledge and doesn't take crap from the bleeding heart groups. He stands by what he believes in and charges like a bull to get it done.

I've bumped into him and Dougie who came out once on behalf of his brother about street improvements in my mom's neighbourhood (yeah, he lives on her street ha ha). Doug seems like a bully. I know people who knew them when they were in high school. Sounds like the stories are true. As for Dougie being his campaign manager and lashing out at the elites and establishment (whatever that means), I think it's because the provincial Conservatives won't let him run as a provincial MPP candidate (based on discussions I've had with politicos in that camp).

I know you and Jack Burton are passionate about the LRT, so I can take the heat over subway talk he he. BTW, I was in Dallas last November and that's all they have (apart from buses) and they work fine (I've ridden them in a previous trip to a few places). Dallas is perhaps the most redneck cosmopolitan city in the USA, so it's got nothing to do with whether one is pro-car or pro-transit. They even have dedicated some roads solely for LRTs (like the one that runs behind the Sixth Floor Museum aka The Texas School Book Depository). I suppose it has everything to do with sound economics and engineering.

Karen Stintz would make an awesome Mayor and we already know she 's a fighter. However she's wound up too tight, she can win votes with her smile alone if she allows herself to.
