So the question is....why do you CARE so much? Really. I don't. I expect him not to get in again. He will become an interesting footnote. But everyday he is on the front page. Not the upcoming Provincial election. But.....where is he now? What's he doing now?
Sorry kids but he has reached the level of cheap gossip. And you are all revelling in it the same as some would a Kardashian. Face it. You need him now in the way some watch Jerry Springer. You want the drama, the cheapness, the feeling better about yourselves by being able to say "look at that trainwreck of a man"! "Let's vilify him" "warm up the tar". That is the level of discourse now. That's what is see in the posts.

Does whether or not he is in rehab change anything? Really? If he is, loses 100 pounds and comes back 3 months from now with a heartfelt apology for all the comments, the antics.....will it change your vote? I think not.

There is never a good excuse for showing up at someone's home to hound them about their job or slink around their backyard to get a picture. It's called the right to privacy.
You keep telling yourself that reporters would not flock to wherever he is...I'll just keep quiet about that for now...it's only a matter of time, whether he tells them where his is or not.
Nobody slinked around his back yard, stop spouting off Sheep Nation nonsense. The area outside his fence is a PUBLIC PARK. A park he tried to buy. His claims about it needed to be checked to see if he was trying to abscond with taxpayer land, which he was.

The way I see it is that when Ford won the election, there were many people who were shocked and dismayed that someone "like him" could win. So it became a war between those who supported him vs those who would criticize those that voted for him.
As stories about him started to surface, it gave anti-Ford people ammunition to throw at his supports in a "I told you so" kind of way. But it's more than "I told you so", it's a "I told you that you're an idiot for voting for him." Or "How dare you support someone who does drugs and don't even think about voting for him again." It has moved from Ford to more about his supporters.
All of these people keep overlooking the reason why he won. Why so many still support him. People were and are fed up with the entitlement in government. That is the core issue out there that keeps someone like Ford in a position to get re-elected.
The other candidates are not a replacement for that concern.
Look at the first debate. Ford won that hands down. The other candidate's true colours came out. They were not prepared and flip-flopped when it came to providing real answers.
This is why support for Ford continues. Because people don't believe any of the other candidates have their best interests at heart.
There is a fence, there is no other way it could have happened. Dale was on the public park side of the fence when Ford assaulted him and stole his phone.
Besides which, Ford has since apologized to Dale under threat of legal action. Ford himself has now confirmed the Star version.
Stop being a sheep, believing all the lies Ford tells.

I'm telling you that reporters would flock to where ever he is to confirm he's fucking there.. After that, there's no story.. Nobody cares about his progress through rehab.. He's already set himself up to fail, so that's not news.. We just care about whether or not he's IN fucking rehab..
And nobody was hounding about his fucking job.. They were hounding him about being the mayor of Toronto while also being a crack head with ties to organized crime, and drug trafficking.
And the part where the Red Star claims Ford tried to buy a park with taxpayer money?? Has that ever been proven??
You mean like having his campaign volunteers paid exorbitant salaries for unadvertised jobs that were made up for them and for which they were hired without competition by Ford's henchman?
Ford is as corrupt as they come, he cavorts with the worst criminals in the city, hired career criminals to work in his office, and his cronies were caught red handed stealing from the cookie jar at TCHC.
Oh yes, the Star sends one of their most high profile reporters to take a picture of a fence? Right.

He comes from a moneyed political family.
Ford has never had a real job, he's a career politician who's been able to fund his campaigns off his fathers business.
He appears likeable because he's a party animal, but he can't hold even a voluntary coaching job, let alone a real job.
He'd have been fired 20 times over if he was a city employee and not mayor.
He did do it, nobody wants to waste the time trying to "prove" to you the shit that actually happened and was widely reported.. Try keeping up with things and you won't need so much "proof" all the time.
People don't care that he comes from money, because he still manages to seem "down to earth". People like him because they can relate to him. They like having somebody (who they feel) identifies with THEM in office.. Nothing more..
It's actually quite brilliant.. He talks like them, walks like them, has weaknesses like them.. And then he takes these people (who don't fully understand city politics or how to run a city) and he tells them that it's the "Elite" that are costing them money.. He tells them that he knows how to fix things for them.. He promises them shit that they want (but can't ever have) like Subways for free, and Casinos that pay hundreds of million in taxes, and less traffic for cars (without anybody having to actually stop driving their car).. When council is forced to vote down these nonsensical schemes, he just tells the people "It's not my fault, it's the 'Elites' on council that are against me"..
It WAS proven.. Months ago.. When it actually fucking happened.. It was reported by the Star, confirmed by staff at city hall..Yeah silly me, who needs proof

It's not up to everybody else here to make sure you're up to date on current fucking events.. Try reading a paper other than the Sun. I know their big pictures and friendly fonts make it easy, but you'd be better suited for these conversations if you diversified just a little.
