None of that actually happened, it was made up by the CBC on the fly.
And if it was far right protest, i am aure they would have brought more rhan one, conf, and nazi flag... get over yourself, and maby open your eyes and mind a little.
that’s not only ridiculous but hurts your arguments as a whole. You (and other supporters of the convoy) could gain some creditably by simply acknowledging some fucking idiots were drawn to this protest and it’s organizers have questionable backgrounds. Unfortunately this cause, whatever one might think of it, draws some of the fringe element and it’s inexcusable and that no one could reasonably endorse or defend this.
Most sensible people would accept that argument. But when you get into denying the existence of these problems and blaming it on media and CBC specifically, it just calls everything about your arguments into question.
For what it’s worth, I don’t really follow CBC any more than any other media outlet. I try to keep a balanced viewpoint by getting my info from multiple sources and extrapolating “the truth” from it, including the Toronto Sun which IMO its columnists have reported on this as if they’re getting a slice of that gofundme pie and the outlet has basically worked as a PR agency for the convoy.
But even this article acknowledges……
Throughout the early night Saturday, fireworks cut the quiet -21C air, as the adrenaline and the whisky first flowed through parts of the Freedom Convoy.

“there were already signs of decay when the Canadian flag is wrapped in a bouquet that includes the Confederate flag, the skull and crossbones, and a swastika.”
“There was no short supply of swastikas.”
“Meanwhile, not far down the street, the statue of Terry Fox, whose run across Canada and death halfway to the finish in 1981 produced multi-millions for cancer research, was strapped in with an upside-down Canadian flag on a pole, littered with hand-made cardboard placards,
a swastika and wearing a ball cap that was ridiculously undersized.”
“A lot of the anger, however, was directed personally at Trudeau, with many protesters displaying signs and flags emblazoned with expletives against the prime minister.
Some have called for Trudeau to be tried for treason, to be beaten up, or just simply killed.”
Seems to me that the eyes and mind closed and the ears plugged are on your head, not mine.
