On a bitterly cold day in January it was still quite impressive
and our gutless PM hide away from a problem he created
If the cause is THAT important to so many people, I find the "it was really cold" argument lacking. More people sit through worse weather for live sports events then the crowd for this vital fight for freedom attracted.

Rocks hurled at Ottawa ambulance at downtown truck convoy
The incident happened on Parliament Hill on Monday, January 31.

Also Racist Slurs:

Darryl Wilton, president of the Ottawa Paramedic Association, confirmed the news to CityNews on Monday, January 31, adding that one of their paramedics had also been subjected to anti-Asian racial slurs during the same incident as he checked on the status of the vehicle.

“We must immediately denounce all forms of racism, micro-aggressions, harassment and violence that have been experienced by paramedics during the protests this weekend and also since the pandemic began,” a statement on the association’s Facebook page read. “Violence, harassment and racists incidents towards paramedics are harmful and we ask that you please support all those working 24/7/365 on the frontlines of healthcare.”

If you find that "it was a bitterly cold argument" lacking, then your objectivity and understanding of human nature is lacking
Many will be in full support but did not , could not pack the family into the car and drive to Ottawa
The numbers would have been much higher if this specific screw-up by Justin Trudeau had occurred in June

It is important to note this specific screw up, as is difficult to keep track of all of Justin's screw ups

Justin Trudeau is a moron
He hid from the problem he created
He was never qualified for the role of Prime Minister and never will be

They had their trucks to warm up in. They shouldn't be packing the entire family, you leave your children with a sitter rather than bring them to a protest that police warned could be a security risk, that bad actors could participate and cause problems.
If 38,000+ hockey fans in Minnesota could attend the coldest outdoor NHL game in January, then a cause supposedly so important to so many should have drawn better. Remember, it was the supporters who set the expectation at 50000 trucks and 1.5 million people for an outdoor protest in January. Did the cold catch them by surprise? They expected a balmy 20 degrees?

You know, if I was at a protest and people showed up with swastikas and confederate flags I'd either confront them or leave the protest.
I wouldn't happily join them then use emojis to claim it was 'sarcasm' that you were marching with white supremacist or that they were really CBC in disguise.

Perspective: this is a group of people who believe vaccines that protect against a virus that’s caused a global pandemic are part of a conspiracy to wipe out the white race. And they like to party, with racist signals. You know people like this.

Uh….. yea!
I would never bring a child to a protest with “Fuck Trudeau” signs and police warnings about non-protesters starting shit. If the cause is so important to me that I feel I need to be there in support, I am not bringing my child.
Any who did are shitty parents to put their children as risk, not to mention that (as you pointed out) it was incredibly cold!
I would also mention the risk of my children being exposed to Covid but half the people there don’t believe there’s any real risk of that.

i am not belittling their turnout, in another post somewhere I admitted there were more people than I expected welcoming the convoy into the GTA.
But the organizers set expectations at 50000 trucks and 1.5 million. It fell wwwaaayyy short of that. Good turnout, but as my dad still tells me to this day “under promise, over deliver”
My issue with this whole exercise is that it has always been based on lies and good people got suckered into supporting it.
It’s not about truckers when WEXIT organizer Lich is also adding in a MOU and Citizen Committee agenda to overthrow the government. The trucking industry denouncing this whole thing, it was all lies.
She and her pals lied about the support to get media attention and who knows what’s going on with the money raised for this.
The whole “they don’t represent us” argument about the people desecrating the war memorial and beating up homeless and hurling rocks and racist insults, going unmasked into hotels and malls and harassing people…… where were the good protesters to stop them?

Do not forget about this Conservative MP from Alberta and this photo-op:

He looks very comfortable and seems to be in agreement with what is going on behind him!!
He's claiming not to know that there was a swastika behind him, but simply looking over his shoulder would reveal it. The swastika wasn't "snuck in" behind him. It's stationary and off to his rear right, easily within his sight. He MUST have seen it. Simply looking slightly to his right would reveal its presence. And it must have been there as he was walking to be interviewed.

What dictatorship? All political parties supported the vast majority of the federal health decisions. The Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are conservative... Also, calling vaccine mandates as segregation is soooooo stupid. In the US, segregation targeted race. You can't change the colour of your skin. But you can choose to get vaxxed and take part in society...

Segregation is color blind, and USA does not own the term...
