no one has had any experience at the Knights Inn on Lundys Lane? I dont mean, for having SP's for outcalls or having to be sneaky checking in and paper trail concerns. I just need to know its an ok, clean place with no real issues. anyone?
I've been there twice now. It's pretty bare bones and run down, but it down have hot water. Never had a SP problem there though...

Roadway on Lundys Lane

Used their facilities Monday evening, booked thru www.choicehotels.com, their website. King Size Jacuzzi for $35.00. Place was clean although the heater controls didn't work. I'm sure another room would have been given but didn't really need the heat (It heated up well enough before the evening was over). Place was very clean and nice size. Would use again if rate remains available. Company had never been there but thought the place was very nice.

Unfortunately, paper trail was left.

Bump.......

Saw a reference in the, Belle is Now Indy!!!!, thread today about the "the frigid rooms at the arkona" and thought it may be time to bump up this thread.

Anyone else have any Motels to avoid for lack of heat, hot water, or whatever?

Rodeway?? More like Roadkill.....
Just stay out of the Clifton Hill and Fallsview areas and the prices become more reasonable. Still high, but more reasonable.

A lot of the motels in the Falls change owners almost yearly. You cannot keep track of which ones will be clean or not, from trip to trip. There are some clean ones, but generally the cheap ones are just that...cheap. Going for the lower end hotels is a better gamble, cost more but cleaner.
Best advice though is not to pre-book, show up and drive around. Business is quieter this year, especially at the motels. Most have vacancies, and if you're not prebooked they cannot bill your card, might even get a better rate than posted.

This place is absolutely terrible.

It's pretty much right next door to Seductions.

In this places defense.... It has a new owner as of this year and I just stayed there for a week and didn't see one inscet. The sheets are carpets looked all brand new and clean.

They have a 24 hour breakfast place attached which has great food and take-out for great prices.

I thought this place was great.

Since some Terbites were looking for Niagara 'hobby friendly' hotel/motels, here's an old thread with a wealth of info in that regard, especially if you are looking to avoid the dreaded 'paper trail'.

What's good about this time of the year is it's not tourist season, so off-season rates are in effect till Victoria Day.

In some cases, I think this is more frequently than they change the sheets!
I'm a fan of the Kingsway for a quick, ummm, shower and stuff. Otherwise, If I am there overnight, I often stay at the Cairn Croft. They have some cool rooms behind the pool with back doors that open directly to the back parking area.... conveniently. It seems like just yesterday that Tatum and Ginger came bouncing through one of those!

I just re-read this thread and the Knights Inn I was inquiring about was actually fine. I swear I spent $40 and it was absolutely fine to spend the night in. If i was entertaining an SP i wouldnt stay there if i was trying to impress her but it a totally fine place to sleep shower shit and shave if thats all you want.

Admiral and Knights Inn have known to be the most decent motels on Lundys Lane. There are alot of motels but if you keep travelling further towards the strip clubs, the motels begin to vary and get shittier as you go along. Most of them offer hourly rates and most of them are foreign nazis that sit behind their desks and believe you are the enemy coming to destroy their rooms lol.

The Kingsway has been very SP-friendly, is clean, a stone's throw to Sundowner & Seductions, plus $45 cash for regular room. Jacuzzi rooms available for a bit more. Comparable in quality to the Express Inn.

Don't know much about the Knights Inn. I think there are couple of them in town.
What would the Kingsway be charging these days for a regular room on a Saturday afternoon for 2 hours?

...a very astute observation on your part, Sierra! :) Last September I took a cruise down Lundy's Lane past all of the strip clubs (both open ones, and closed down ones from yesteryear) and all the way to a tiny little town that appears to be in a poverty laden setting. There is a train crossing and a bridge right next to the town. Just like you said, the further down Lundy's you go, the "shittier" (if I may use your term) the motels get.

Great Rates on Priceline when requesting 4 star. I think I paid 35.00. Room was small but very nice. Could easily be a 100.00 room in some cities.
thanks i think i'll try it out

A-1 Motel, 7895 Lundy's Lane, is currently being renovated and is closed for the time being after a fire awhile back destroyed several rooms. Noticed this while driving down Lundys recently. It looks like they are trying to be ready by Victoria Day.
Hope when they reopen they will still be hobby friendly as in the past.
