The rates are going to drop after school starts, then nicer
cleaner rooms may be available elsewhere for about the same money. Best to do some online price comparions before you leave. If you are a walk-in guest (you really don't need no stinkin' reservations) and pay the bill in cash before you leave, a trail should be minimized. Unless of course your S.O. is following you and then you have problems no matter what you do. I suspect that the discloure risk of your "hobby" is greater from your online activities from cookies, histories, as wel as telltale perfume, hair, inconsistent statements, new bedroom tricks, wet underwear, etc. than from ID's and CC.

anywhere I hang my hat
Advantage

Was there again last night, the lady came to the desk, I handed her $35.00CDN and asked for a room for a few hours. She looked at me and asked 35?. I nodded yes, she asked me if I wanted to fill out a card, I said "not really". She handed me the key.

Took about a half hour to get into Canada at around 7:30PM for an 8:00Pm appointment. Needless to say, I was late. Thanks Diva for your patients.

Passed by the Overnight Inn, 7558 Lundys' Lane @ Montrose. They have a sign out front saying $35 but can't tell if that is a day rate or overnight. Been told this place is OK by a friend.

prices should be way down.

I drove up and down Lundy's lane last night and will report that the place is dead. Not more than 5 vehicles in the notell motel's.

I know Leah was busy last night, so, does anyone have any updates?

FYI...I was at the Kingsway on Monday and paid $40 after signing a registration card. Took a few minutes to talk to the new owner about business and the previous owners. If this gets to be a regular thing, I'm sure I can work him. Smut station was turned on also.

Marriott Courtyard on Victoria Avenue offers a AAA member rate of 75 $ rate for weekend and 85 $ for weekdays.

Pretty neat place especially if you want to sleep over for the night. Is fairly SP friendly too.

I doubt they will be very open to having the room used in the way you mean.
You are looking for hours and they frequently have a two day minimum stay. I doubt they will tolerate adult activities.

Bump...

Seeing the interest in motel reviews and info, thought of bumping this thread up again.

Feel free to share your good & bad experiences with motels/hotels in the Niagara region.

I guess if you don't want the paper trail you are limited to the sleezier motels along Lundy's Lane where the rooms are less than perfect and sometimes come with little heat. I've used the Arkona and Kingsway and have paid $35-45 CA range. The rooms were OK during the summer but I haven't been there since the cold weather hit.

There are plently of quality hotels with nice rooms such as the Park Plaza Hotel where you can get a room for $38 US/$49 CA. Unfortunately, there's that paper trail.

I like the following link:

http://www.infoniagara.com/hotels_and_motels/index.html

I've used my credit card when checking in but have paid cash for the room upon departure. I've never had anything appear on my statements. Is this what we are talking about as a paper trail?

i just went to niagara this week, i booked the Fallsview Days Inn for $55 a night, the Days Inn was so run down there was no check in counter, i had to go to the hilton next door to check in.. when i checked in they upgraded me to the hilton, in a king size bed room with jacuzzi facing the casino!! stayed for 2 nights, what a sweet deal... but ended up losing couple hundred at the casino.. :(

I stayed in the Radisson in Mississuaga and the number to Toronto Girlfriends was blocked.
The Radisson at 2501 Argentia Rd ?

Yikes that would be a bummer

I've stayed there many times 7-10 days at a time. Fall 2004 latest. (about $35 on priceline) and never had any problems calling agencies etc... how recent was this?

Renaissance Fallsview

I used to stay at the Renaissance in Fallsview, great rooms with jacuzzi, and really good off season price. This year, probably due to the casino opening next door, the prices seem to be double for the jacuzzi rooms than they were last year.

I had heard they were possibly going to be getting high speed internet, did this happen too, or is it just a rumour? I might be willing to spend the extra if they didn, but chances are I will have to find another hotel with decent jacuzzi rooms at a decent price.

Has anyone tried the President on Victoria?

YES WIRLESS IN ALL THE ROOMS !!! Finally !!!!

I am torn between the convienece of wireless but sometimes weak areas in the room vs solid Ethernet connections.

I've also stayed here many times but attracted by $US35-40 price on priceline for regular but very nice room. Now going for $40-58 on priceline (weekends more expensive which makes sense).

I also note that Best Western Cairn Croft Hotel on Lundy which is far more convienent for my interests and wish to avoid all the tourists around the falls now has Ethernet high speed internet.

This hotel has many great "family" reviews espeically for the play areas around pool in the Courtyard. But I prefer to be a long way from kids :( The "annex" is reported to be sort of a dump, but don't have a good feel how the Tower rooms are.

I am very interested to know if other hotels on Lundy get high speed internet. I wish Ramada Coral or Suites would !

Cairn Croft

I stayed there last year, got one of there jacuzzi rooms. Tub was very nice, one of those big clam shell type. Lots of room for....hmmmm. Room had some plants, queen sized poster bed. I was with Wet Annette, and she had pictures taken there once for her website.

There was not any computer connection as I remember, but after having been working on the computer all day, and having my date already set-up, I didn't even get the chance to unpack my laptop anyway.

I agree, that it is far enough away from the tourist stuff to make it worthwhile for me too. If they have the computer connection now, so much the better.
