in the context of a very lame attempt at a joke? What does flashing one's buttocks have any relevance to catching covid? You breath through your arse? If she wasn't black then Matthews won't catch covid? Was that the joke? You waited for some sort of Arizona news to try to pull this one off?

Why so skeptical? You're living proof of someone who talks out their ass all the time.

You have such a pleasant way with words.

What does flashing one's buttocks have to do with catching covid?

It looks like Vegas and Toronto as Hub cities. Trudeau is looking at allowing NHL players to skip the 14 day quarantine rule.

With a supposed 3 week window to training camp, it’s lovely that the league keeps putting out updates.

Wake me up when the league approaches the players about hockey-related revenue and the players actually agree to something.

Bob McKenzie just reported that the Tampa Bay Lightening have closed their entire training facility because of players and staff testing positive.
Let’s welcome them to Toronto with open arms.

Players are testing positive in a few places. Kiss the season goodbye. Time to cut your losses and come back next year. They aren't even in camp yet and guys are testing positive

Forget Covid. They’re expecting the players to show up and play, they have no agreement with the NHLPA about whether the players will get paid or when, and it’s late June already.

Austin Matthews has tested positive as well as members of the Coyotes, just too many players and team personnel testing positive. Just cancel the season and regroup when things get better. MLB is in the same boat.

Why does everyone think Toronto will be a hub city ? Vancouver and Edmonton have much lower infection rates, why is that less important than time zone ? You can have 2 hubs in the west.

Because Toronto is the largest market in Canada.

I accept Toronto is the largest market, but under phase 3 and 4 plans there is no fan involvement, no interaction with the public and media is done by videolink and zoom.
How would anyone notice a difference if it were in Toronto vs. Vancouver vs. Edmonton?

They could be playing 4 games per day anyway, so the time zone isn't that big a deal under artificial circumstances.

The biggest difference might be that when the hotel staff start coming down with Covid no one would care much in Toronto, whereas that could be a bigger deal in places where it's under better control.
If groups of players start going into quarantine during the tournament it's going to be a gong show anyway.

It's more about logistics than anything else. Toronto has a lot of hotels near the places they would be playing and training. Edmonton and Vancouver not so much

yes they are testing positive cause those players are in hot spots like Florida and Arizona, Florida is getting almost 4000 infections a day whereas BC under 20, once they are inside a bubble in Canada it could be much different

Toronto is still under stage 1. You guys can’t even get to stage 2 so bringing in a bunch of NHL players and personnel would be a disaster.

I didn't say they don't have a lot of hotels but they don't have as many in the vicinity of where they will be training and playing
