An off year for him, but I think that they'd be crazy to trade him at this point.

Overpaid? An off year for him, but I think that they'd be crazy to trade him at this point.
Not the last 2 years. 160 points in 145 games and with the potential to still be even better. There's a good chance that this year is an outlier. Maybe he needs better teammates as well.Overpaid?
He's lucky it wasn't 12-15...complete head shot against the glass...doesn't look good on the officials that no penalty was called, Carlo had the puck, they shouldn't have missed it.Tom Wilson suspended 7 games for boarding Brandon Carlo, in a game Friday night.
My guess is Wilson will appeal, it'll get dropped to 5 or 6 games.
A 7 game suspension in a 56 game season would equate to 10(.25) games in a normal year.

Welcome to 1996I was watching hockey highlights on TV a couple of nights ago. A player somehow picked up the puck on the blade of his stick and carried it for a couple of steps before flinging it into the opposing net.
I thought that was pretty neat but maybe against the rules. Anyway, I think the goal was allowed.Welcome to 1996
Add it to the list. No field goals, no first serves and no carrying the puck on your stick. Why?
I don't believe it is against the rules...I thought that was pretty neat but maybe against the rules. Anyway, I think the goal was allowed.
BTW: I tried one of those hockey sticks with a hole(s) in the blade. That was also pretty neat. Wonder if that will be the stick of the future?

That's what I thought when they allowed the goal. It was pretty neat. The player actually balanced the puck on the blade of his stick which was about 3 feet above the ice, carried it forward for about 5 feet and then fling it into the net like they do in lacrosse.I don't believe it is against the rules...
There has been a few goals like that...look up "hockey lacrosse goals" on youtube. That's what I thought when they allowed the goal. It was pretty neat. The one I saw the player was in front of the net. I guess it doesn't matter. There has been a few goals like that...look up "hockey lacrosse goals" on youtube.
The first time I saw one was Junior hockey in the 80s...it's a hot dog move, eventually you would get the shit kicked out of you for doing it...but, times are changing. The one I saw the player was in front of the net. I guess it doesn't matter.

LOL! I guess they don't teach that in hockey school. The first time I saw one was Junior hockey in the 80s...it's a hot dog move, eventually you would get the shit kicked out of you for doing it...but, times are changing.
Jake DeBrusk used one last season - not sure about this season as I have not watched any Boston games.LOL! I guess they don't teach that in hockey school.
Anyway, i wonder if the hole in the blade hockey stick will make its way into the NHL. I tried a couple of those sticks and you can actually use the hole(s) as a "cradle" to scoop up the puck and carry it above "sea level".
