Betting and fantasy are part of NFL, lighten up already. If you don't like it put me on ignore.
Lotto and Gaming Forum is a much more apt place for betting and fantasy pools and props.

I always gauge alleged football fans and their knowledge of the game by how quickly they tune out the game/games as soon as they lost on their bets.

The NFL has totally embraced betting as part of their appeal.

Full disclosure of injuries is a requisite to give the betting industry as much info as possible to set their betting lines. Hockey aside, MLB and NBA have not granted teams to LV. They have not embraced the industry.

Trying to separate discussions of football from discussions of football betting is an exercise in futility.

It's really not that difficult on a personal level to separate the actual game from the entertainment, promotional and extraneous extravaganza that the NFL has become.

On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, Greece
Herbert is definitely the real deal.
We pretty knew that last year but there was a question how he was going to deal with a new offensive coordinator and a live crowd.

The first game against Washington they dropped at least six on him. He had some red zone problems against Dallas and Washington.

But you can see them adapting with each game. Coach Staley is mega aggressive as well. They need to force Mayfield to throw the ball this week to ensure success. Browns are averaging 177 ypg rushing this year. Of course it could argued that they haven't played the highest caliber of opponents either.

For the most part I agree. I just wanted to see how he'd perform during his sophomore season as a lot of times guys struggle in their 2nd year. He's the opposite, improving each and every week.

Week 5 already.

Wash +2.5 at home against the Saints. Chargers -2.5 at home against the Browns.

Contemplating Vikes -9.5 at home vs the Lions (Detroit is a mess!).

Hard to believe that KC is last in their division. Still early and that will most definitely change.

It won't change much, especially with the state of their defence

A couple of strange endings today.

The Chargers were content with running out the clock and the Brown defense pushed the running back into the end for a TD. Smart move on their behalf as they needed to get the ball back to try and win the game, otherwise the Chargers would go for the game ending field goal attempt. Lucky move at my end as it allowed the Bolts to cover the spread for me. Entertaining game to watch.

I have never seen so many missed field goals as the Green Bay/Cincy game had. At least 3 in the last two minutes then 2 more in OT.

I had the Saints and Chargers, stayed away from the Vikings. Stupid Carolina cost me losing at home to Philly. I'll try to remember to put my week 6 best bets up on Friday.

As a GB fan I was going ballistic. Couldn't believe Crosby missed a 36 and then a 40 yard FG. Luckily they pulled it out in the end. Crazy game.

On the highway of life
Just heard talks between the Texans and Dolphins are heating up to the point where a Watson trade could be done in the next couple days.

Not sure I want him on one of my teams......

I guess the Dolphins don't believe in Tua

Week 7. Six teams on the bye make it a bit more challenging to pick. Let's hope its better than last week's debacle.

Bucs -11.5 vs. Bears. Brady may still be hampered with the throwing hand and Bears are typically good vs. the run, except they will be without run stuffer Akiem Hicks. That's huge. Plus the Bears offense is anemic.
Colts +4 at 49'ers. I think the Colts are going to start to turn things around after a poor start to the season. They are well coached, have an elite running game and solid D.
Saints -4 at Seahawks. Seahawks are all kinds of banged up, most notably QB Russell Wilson and RB Chris Carson. Saints should roll.

I don't put it all entirely on him, the GM assembles the roster and the o-line has been a bit of a mess. I still don't know what to make of Brian Flores.
As a hard core Dolphins fan I don't want Watson. Prefer Tua.
Roadhog hit the nail on the head regarding the O-line and not getting a RB. Defense has gone from top 5 last year in point allowed per game to the worst. Kyle Van Noy must be laughing now. Their receivers are made of crystal. Why they have kept Parker all these years is beyond me.
Dolphins front office has failed Tua.

Must be tough to be a Fins fan right now. Last year looked like they were moving in the right direction after doing a mini rebuild in 2019. I can't explain how the defense has gone from being a top 10 in 2020 to dead last in 2021. It can't simply be due to losing Van Noy and Lawson from the LB corps.
It could be worse though you could be a Jets or Lions fan :ROFLMAO:

After 7 weeks only one team remains undefeated - Arizona Cardinals. They also made a very good move in acquiring TE Zach Ertz from Philly. Definitely gives Kyler another viable option in the passing game.
This week Arizona hosts my Green Bay Packers on Thursday night. You have to know things are definitely going your way when GB announced yesterday hat star WR Davante Adams has tested positive for COVID and is doubtful for this week's game.
So there's a good chance Arizona goes to 8-0.
