I picked up a little 12 week old kitten over the weekend. Do I ever have a friend now. He is the cutest little thing, purrs all day.

What color is it? Short or long hair?
He is a short haired tabby, grey and black with a bit of brown. The underside of his paws are black, as is the tip of his tail.
His fur is sooo soft. The trust the little thing puts in me is unbelieveable.

Pets are great, cats are great .
My cat is 14 yrs old , he's a real freind. doesnt ask for much in return for the love , affection and entertainement he provides.Picked him up at the pound as a kitten, he fit into the palm of my hand.
He chose me basically, he put up such a fuss when I was looking at the cats, I had to take him out of his crate & hold him, He immediatley molded into my chest and purred beyond belief. How could I say no to him?
Animals also know when you're not feeling well and have a way of helping to comfort you.

This thread is useless without pictures.
So true!
Nothing makes you feel better and young at heart than striking up a good relationship with some nice young cute pussy....:)

If your kitty is a boy, you might want to get his pisser "FIXED". When he gets about a year old he might start to mark his territoy and hose down things.

My kitty eats her dinner and she has to inspect my dinner before I eat it. If your kitty want to taste your food, give them a taste, then a second taste but no more than that. If they want more then you clap your hands and show them the empty palm and say NO MORE! They learn that 2 treats is all they get at the dinner table.

Awwwwwww I think not only do we need pics but also vids, kittens can provide hours of entertainment just by being kittens. Good for you giving a sweet baby a new loving home. Sounds like you have a friend for life now.

With luck, you've found yourself a very nice long term companion. The nonconditional love that comes with most pets is just amazing...Sometimes it can be annoying, but once you realize they're kicking up a fuss just because they're pleased to see you...

But may I suggest you look into getting health insurence for it. Vet bills add up quickly enough, with out the added whammy of illness. Be sure to read it over and over so you're sure what is and isn't covered under it. (An associate had to have her dog put down because the insurer denied the cancer meds and she couldn't afford them outright)
