I read those links and I'm appalled at the the absolute bullshit that the police are using.
1. They set up "sting" operations at hotels. So this isn't a case of posing as street walkers. (Street Walkers can cause concerns in the local community because it's so flagrant .). This is purely anti sex industry. The cops were operating out of a hotel which is NOT out in the public and is not a nuisance. So clearly the cops are targeting the sex industry period.
2. In the articles the cops are not referring to it as prostitution, they are now calling it "human trafficking" which is bullshit again because no-one is being trafficked. (How could they be, they are cops conducting a sting operation?). Therefore, LE has adopted the lingo, "human trafficking" because it's real hard to argue against human trafficking. This has nothing to do with human trafficking for fuck sakes. This is just a plain old entrapment scam that the police have been carrying out for forever for a laugh.
3. How is any john supposed to know he's using the services of someone who has been trafficked unless the seller (in this case a police officer) tells the potential client, prior to getting down to business, "hey, just so you know, I am being forced against my will to have sex with you". I can only hope that if any potential client heard that kind of statement, he would cancel the appointment immediately and get the hell out of there and call the police. I can't see too many guys saying, " I don't care, I'm here, I'm horny, now do your job". To somehow paint these johns with the "human trafficking" brush means they (the Johns) had to be aware of it.
Clearly the police are trying say that anyone who sells sex is a victim of human trafficking and this simply is not the case.
