They'll have to go on a run like they did in December/early January. Not impossible but they'll also need some help from the teams ahead of them loosing games. Regardless of whether or not they make the playoffs I'm happy with this season. The team is showing they have a good core and having Demidov coming in next year will be a massive help
I'm cheering for the Habs to make the playoffs, I'm cheering for all Canadain teams to make the playoffs. It's time to bring Lord Stanley home where it belongs.
I cheer for all Canadian teams not named the Toronto Maple Leafs to crap out ASAP.
I don't think they will do much of anything. If anything they might try to move Evans, Armia or Dvorak. Maybe Anderson but I hope they do nothing, keep the team together and see if they can make the push into the playoffs

Doesn't really impact their chances as Dach has been such hot garbage this year.. I hope he gets it back next year, but this year was just a lost season for him... 22 points in 57 games, and a staggering -29, way worse taan anybody else on the team.Canadiens' Dach out for season with knee injury

My guess is they hold still -- neither sell or buy, Perhaps they do a "hockey trade" of a depth guy with another team where each team is able to balance their roster a bit better.
I had written them off as a non playoff team a week or two ago.... expected them to deal 3 players... Armia, Evans, Savard.... you were going to get maybe a 2+3+3 for the 3 guys.
But things have now changed - 5 wins in a row and now only 1 point out of a playoff spot. They have enough 2nd and 3rd rounders, and B level prospects, that not getting a few more out of this deadline is not a big deal.
Carrier and Guhle have been an amazing second pair. It's a shame Guhle is unlikely to be back this season but Struble has really rose to the occasion and played quite well.
