Cary Prix was really fighting the puck tonight. I tell you the Montreal offence hasn't shown up since the first game(they only won the 2nd game because the refs gave it to them).

^their offence, though with good Numbers, have struggled with that on and off throughout the season... particularly before February. i wouldn't be too worried, though.

Be afraid Habs .... be very afraid

Anyone who knows anything about that dam ' so-called' curse of the Red Sox will find this a little spooky.

-The time of the only goal in game 4, was scored by Montreal at 19:18.

-1918 was the last time the Sox had won a World Series up until 2004.

-The goal scored was Patrice Brisebois, who wears number 71

-in 1970-71, Habs upset the heavily favoured Bruins in the 1st round of the playoffs 4-3 in the series.
-Bruins last Stanley Cup was at the end of the 1971-72 season.

Coincidence????? I think not. Red Sox exorcized all those demons, now its' the Bruins time. It's over Habs fans, do the math.

Hey, I know I am grasping at straws here, but it sounded rather interesting once I saw that score and did some more digging. :p

OK...give it to me...the habs blew goat dick last night (ya it happens). They were out played in every catagory, couldn't move the puck only scored one goal (lucky at that) and Price looked very human. Hopefully a trend that they can reverse or they'll be joining the Laughs on the golf course...hey at least I'm an objective Habs fan LOL.

In my opinion, neither Montreal or Boston will win the Cup anyways. Montreal must get their act together because that was an absolutely awful performance last night. I must admit Price is an excellent young goaltender and everyone is being so hard on the kid. Leave the kid alone. He will pull out of it and the Habs should win the series on Saturday.

Nope - I for one, don't rub it into anyone after a loss. I'm normally pretty honest and objective about my team when they lose. When my team sucks, I say it and have been saying it pretty much all season about the B's. They are just showing me some good things because they have made a series out of this. They are far from Stanley Cup material, but anytime they can beat Montreal, it is special. ;)

One More Trip To Beantown

Last night's loss against the Bruins was upsetting and disappointing.

Back in the 2004 Playoffs, Claude Julien was the coach of the Canadiens and the Habs were down 3 games to 1 against the Bruins in the quarter-finals. Julien and his Habs were able to come back from behind and win the next 3 games to eliminate the Bruins 4 games to 3. Hopefully, Julien and his Bruins will not be able to do that against this year's Canadiens.

Carey Price, along with everybody else on the team, had a very bad and disastrous night. We should be able to come back and win one more game against the Bruins. It would have been good to have eliminated the Bruins last night so that we would have had about one week to rest before the next series.

Last night was a rude awakening, and a lesson that we will not forget the rest of these 2008 Playoffs.

...hopefully now Saku Koivu will get the respect he deserves from Montreal fans.
He is one of the best all round players in the game.
And he gives then two solid offensive lines.
If he comes back healthy, it's game over for the Bruins.

It would be a great way to come back for Saku, especially after watching over 15 wins without him from the press box,

..I was very suprised at how strong they finished the season.
But, this is the play-offs, shut down Kovalev's line as at right now.
And you have a good shot at beating the Habs,
the way Thomas is playing.

The Captain's Return?

We all want Saku Koivu to start playing again.

Coach Guy Carbonneau was asked today about whether Saku would be playing in tomorrow's game in Boston. His reply was:

"Saku skated again this morning and he felt good. He even pushed himself a little more today. He is going to skate with his teammates on Saturday morning and then we'll take it from there. He knows how good he needs to feel in order to play. I'll have no problem inserting him back into the lineup as soon as he tells me he's ready."
