3-1 Habs in regulation, Prices scores the empty net goal:D
Good guess....but no, Cary "Prix" didn't score.

Montreal finally showed up tonight, and Boston didn't.

Congrats to the Montreal fans...let's see how they do in the next round.

I hope they don't trash the town tonight...it's only the first round!

Now, for the game tonight. It is a pretty tall order for B's to have to win 3 in a row, 2 being in enemy territory. While I strongly believe B's have outplayed Montreal and coud have had this series done by now, I am not sure how much longer they can keep this up. They have exceeded expectations by far. Montreal has a far better team, talent-wise and I think they are ready to break out. The home crowd and the 21,000 referees will give them a big advantage and I can see B's losing this one.
Looks like I called that one right. Oh well. B's have nothing to be ashamed of, neither do their fans. Nobody could have predicted them to hang in like that for 7 games. Montreal was just due to break out and after they got out of the first period with the lead, I knew it was pretty much over. B's out chanced Montreal in the 1st but Price came up big and that was that. They played their hearts out but just weren't good enough.

Question: Are the NHL playoffs this year bracketed in advance as this website implies:
http://www.vegasinsider.com/nhl/playoffs/brackets/

or is everything re seeded after every round so top seeded team gets lowest seeded team every round.
you answered your own question. if you look back next round you'll see they re-arrange the brackets.

LOL!

How can you say Boston didn't show up? They were all over the Habs for the first period, and Price was amazing and saved your season.

The Habs first goal was a total fluke and very unfortunate for the B's.

Try respecting your opponents sometime Habs fan. At least one of you seems to have a clue.

Go Capitals!

I figured YOU would be the one to come on with some kind of cocky, arrogant, 'in your face type' of comment. You have proven me and I am sure many others correct. Yes, your team won, NO they did not win this series easily. Boston gave them everything they could handle and you can't even admit how lucky Habs were to win. Habs played 2 good games, even so, they were outplayed in the 1st period in game 7. They scored a lucky, flukey goal, then Price shut the door. Kudos to Montreal for stepping up when they had to, they are the more talented team, but a goal here or there and you would be out wiping your ass with your sorry little white flags.

Show a little repsect and class. A few other Habs fans have posted and have been very gracious in victory. I doubt that will ever happen with you. Your day will come, believe me. One day you will have that smirk wiped off your face.

I will always be able to proudly say this ......... Bruins don't play like little girls. Oh yeah, and B's fans don't boo anthems of other countries.

That goal that Streit scored was a thing of beauty. I hope the Caps advance, it'll be an awesome series. These two teams should be setting the standard on what type of hockey should be played in the Eastern Conference.

Glad the Habs finished off Boston. Man that Boston team is boring. Julien did a good job in the series. Did Ottawa ever make a mistake in the Chara vs. Redden choice.

No better place in the world for a game 7 of any series than Montreal.
