Do you think these guest commentators really get paid much?
I was under the impression that they were basically promoting their personal brand to bring eyes to their other media ventures whether that be TV, newspapers, websites, books, speaking engagements, etc. etc.
I always assumed they were shoveled chunks of $$$, if they were presented as "experts" on this or that.
If the person who was ultimately responsible for the prevention is the one you believe and your "source of truth" is their website, then I can't fix stupid sorry.

Now, without rain in months and hot dry winds it is tinder dry.. and as anyone who has used dry pine or spruce / cedar evergreens to start a fire knows, they are very resinous making them extremely flammable
