Matthews still looks sad.
Knies has passed Robertson. So has McMann. I can see Steeves passing him as well.
He showed he can do board work, shoot, and pass.

It looks to me, that Matthews is no longer the dominant force he once was. He shows flashes but no longer as consistently as before.
I think he’s pissed with all the criticism he’s getting for that ot goal. Will see what he’s made of. Winners will use criticism to take their performance to a higher level. Players like ass licking compliments like we so often see here for 88 but what they really need is constructive criticism.
Leafs win 5-2. Nick Robertson and Domi were good. Nick scored 2 goals and his brother in Dallas scored a hat trick.

I love McCabe’s grit but man I just wish he wouldn’t try these cute little passes so often in the defensive zone. Not the first time he turned over the puck trying that and costed the Leafs a goal. He’s lucky he was bailed out this time but if he does that in the playoffs he may not be so lucky.
