If AM is getting stem cell treatment, he has a shoulder injury.

I hope Ovechkin breaks Gretzky's record. Gretzky may have been the greatest hockey player (imho opinion Lemieux was better) doesn't preclude him from being an asshole. He's a degenerate gambling addict who uses his fame to promote gambling. Worst part, he threw Rick Tocchet under a bus. The man has no conscience.

The Bruins problems derive from their best two-way player retiring: David Krejci.

And Ovechkin licking Putin's balls doesn't bother you?

What makes you think it's a shoulder injury? Do you have inside knowledge, or is it simply speculation?

OV has a broken leg, so 99's record is safe for a while.

That’s the explanation I was looking for. Thanks. Now let’s see if the same interpretation applies the next time a Leaf throws the same hit.
I still say that if Reaves threw that hit, it would've been a major penalty and perhaps even a suspension. League would say he contacted the head and left his feet. But what do I know.

Reeves deserved that suspension. That was a clear hit to the head. Reeves wanted to hit Nurse body on body, but it was just bad timing, and Reeves nailed the Nurse's head.

I don't disagree. Most players don't think Reaves intended to hit Nurse in the head. He was actually leading with his stick, going for the puck. So yes, bad timing. All I was saying was that if Reavo threw a hit like Whitecloud did, he'd get a 5 minute major and possible suspension.

It's beyond me how that's not direct contact with the head. The video tries to explain it by saying the head did not move independently of the
body indicating most of the contact was with the body, in comparison with other head shots.
Absolutely ridiculous, he hit him straight on, so his head moved along his body, but the fact is the head was the first point of contact.
It's clear as day.
The Leafs consistently get the short end with Perros.

ORR, best player ever, IMHO.

Perros’s career as an nhl goon was ended by Colton Orr who was a Leaf when he knocked Perros out cold in a fight. I should add though that it was the refs’ in game decision and not Perros’s ruling.

The team can still submit to league office for review, no? Either way, how an official can review it in slow motion and still not make the call is very fucked up.
Knies got fucked in the playoffs a couple of years ago, Bennett grabbed him around the neck and slammed him to the ice, the official standing right there. He was out for the rest of the playoffs, no penalty.

Why do you feel that there is a need to duplicate your own posts?

They have this goalie interference penalty that puts the onus on the skater to avoid contacting the goalie. It makes sense because the goalie is often in a vulnerable position. All along they said they (the league) want to eliminate “head shots “ because that could cause serious and lingering issues (concussions), but now they say “head shots” are legal if you could hit the other parts of the body at the same time. Why isn’t the same onus on the hitter to avoid hitting the head ?
