I watched the entire episode.

The lead detectives played by Kathleen Munroe and Aden Young I'm buying. Thought they did a good job of selling the characters. I like Young from another series called ''Rectify'' some years ago.

Their boss portrayed by karen Robinson I'm not buying.

The plot and pacing was kind of okay but there was a fight scene or takedown by Young's character at the end that was very improbable too say the least.

Overall I'd give it a 6 out 10...I believe the chemistry is there from the leads to stick with it.

The new reboot of the original is very good. Not as good as former installments but still quality TV.

I haven't watched it yet.
Kathleen Munroe was on "FBI", another Dick Wolf production.

The new Law and Order is real good, not as good as the original but that's a tough act to follow.

Well thats par for the course. Despite what they say the cases are real... Finding the real case is psrt of the fun.

They already placed all the interesting cases of canada like karla holmolka in new york.

What would really be interested in showing the drug police empire.. The McCormick s and fords for example. Or blair and his pot . Law and order is way too pro status quo for that.
I thought they said it was all fiction. At least that is what I saw at the start of L&O: Toronto

I watched the first episode with great anticipation. Shortly into it I was tempted to turn it off, but decided to stick with it.

In general it had "Canadian production values " all over it, the story was uninteresting, and I missed the usual Law & Order courtroom scenes. (Although they did show some lawyers outside the court building in their formal "English courtroom style" robes.)

By the end of the episode I was not at all impressed.

I'll probably watch the second episode to see if it improves.

Btw I was sad to see Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston) retire from the basic Law & Order series. The episode gave him a great farewell courtroom scene though.

Anyone that has any interest in this, don't even bother. I lasted about 5 minutes and had to turn it off. Typical Canadian production completely making us look like a bunch of fucking morons.
I won't even bother. Apparently the producers didn't bother to check how weak Canadian criminal laws are. Like what kind of drama can you get from a Canadian Law drama. A car theft ring goes to trial. Insurance fraud. Subway stabbing. We can't even name young offenders publicly.

The story was kinda lame and the 2 lead characters were boring. I prefer quirky characters like Columbo or Castle.... it was fun to see Toronto landmarks like Filmores but that won't keep me watching for long if the lameness continues.
