But just between you and me, he wasn't that good, and certainly would never be SP of the day. Although he screwed a lot of people for money, the service was terrible.
LOL ... safe to say then that a duo with TeRo and Bell won't be on your TDL?

Why thank you, did you know that January 22 is
•National Blonde Brownie Day
•Mini Unit Study - Cats
...
That inspires me to create a new holiday.
National Blonde on Brunette Day.
Beats the hell out of Festivus

Perhaps in February. The time between Christmas and March break can be a little dull and what better way to enliven the spirit than with a Blonde on a Brunette.

A special exemption will have to be granted for Red Heads, given their relatively low percentage of the population they should be allowed to substitute for either a Blonde or a Brunette.

Why do blondes always get first billing?

may I echo those sentiments ...

h-m-m-m I like this thread. Refreshingly positive and upbeat (as opposed to some others I've visited lately; nasty bits of ego-business) Thanks Lagavulin ... do you mind if hang out for a while?
Thank-you, all are welcome, sort of an open house.

Mind the dog, he can get underfoot. If he starts to sniff just push him away.

Can I get you a beverage or perhaps a snack?

Lagavulin, I have a few thoughts about this thread, firstly I must commend you on the best choice of scotch. Drinking it straight with each mouthfull the taste changes 4-5 times as it hits different taste buds. Truely something to be experienced.

As far as the thread goes this is really confusing, not sure what the topic is can you help with a theme. I also agree there's many hot ladies pictures here. The stories are somewhat disturbing though.
No theme in particular, just some folks passing by, some for a brief hello, some stay longer.
There are many other fine threads that deal with the explicit, the nasty, the prurient.
This is just some nice people dropping by to offer one another good cheer and perhaps to have a bevy.

Lagavulin ... neat ... Let's see, what else? Those 20 year old single blondes look good.
Try just a smidgeon of branch water, it breaks up the esters and brings out the aroma, but then you only have 15 minutes to drink it.

As far as those blondes are concerned they only said they were 20, be careful out there.

Hmmm... you don't by chance work for the TTC do you? Just asking!! :)

Also, post #38 by antaeus was in reference to your post #2... alluding to Madonna having someone kidnap another child for her to adopt.

Additionally, I think you may have to buy some more furmiture soon, as this thread seems to be expanding and you can't have all the visitors just loitering around drinking whiskey without a suitably comfortable lounge area..
LOL, I completely missed it.

"Mrs. Ciccone-Penn-Messier-BritishDude?" - that was the giveaway I should have picked up on.

Your right about the furniture, I do need a couch and a couple of wing-back chairs near the fireplace (reminds me of the Friendly Giant). But it may take a while to find some decent quality pieces.

There is more than whiskey. While the selection is modest, and geared to my tastes, I have a some wines (mostly dry robust reds) some beers including Guinness, and for those who find the taste of Lagavulin to overwhelming I keep a bottle of Bushmills Black Bush on hand. Everyone seems to like a black bush.

If you have a request, I'll see about putting it on next week's shopping list.

what me worry? Like the single malt, those single blondes only improve with age (and yes, I'm more than willing to substtute a redhead) ;)

If Part of the theme of Lagavulin's thread is to honour outstanding women then Dr Nancy Olivieri deserves to be acclaimed.

In 2001, as Director of Research at Sick Kids Hospital, she broke a confidentiality agreement with Apotex when she published a report critical of Deferiprone. It is a beta drug used in the treatment of Thalessemia; a hemoglobin disease who's by-products are conventional and sickle-cell anemia.

Can I get in on the act? Also deserving of mention ...

Lhasa de Sela ... Sept. 27, 1972 - Jan. 1, 2010

P.K. Page ... Nov. 23, 1916 - Jan. 14, 2010

Kate McGarrigle ...Feb. 6, 1946 - Jan. 18, 2010

Incredibly, three amazingly gifted artists in 18 days ... Let's drink a toast to them, as well.
Outstanding suggestions, thank-you both.
Hero of the Day has no criteria other than it is my choice for a given day.

I definitely expect these fine ladies to be a formally recognized in the near future.

In the meantime, please charge your glasses, a toast.

To the departed that have enriched our lives. They may never have known the value the brought to our lives. But we certainly know, we remember them, we honor them and we shall not forget them.

Unlike the ladies, I've seldom enjoyed malts over 18 years old, too expensive for what you get back, but sometimes for comparison sake or to be hospitable, I've enjoyed a couple 25's and one 40.

For a big surprise, try Glenn Ord(e), green oval label and yes under $40 (for now). I don't have an ATF.

If u don't mind some twelve year old Jameson would be nice. Should I bring my own bottle?

As any news man should, but that doesn't cheapen what he did.
If he risked his life then he was heroic but they are outside so where is the danger????????
