As for biggest busts...I know he wasn't a free-agent pick-up, but Al Leiter was brutal. The Jays traded Jesse Barfield (fan favourite) for him, and I think he pitched something like 16 innings over his first three seasons....Always injured, and if I recall correctly, has surgery just after the trade...
I mentioned him in a previous post. Who could ever forget his blister that wouldn't go away. I remember a running joke on the radio where they would talk about how advanced the city of Toronto is with the stadiums we build and everything else that we can do… "But we can't get rid of Al Leiters blister." Lol it was like one of those spoof type of things like the goon singing the Hockey Night In Canada song. "Going to do some high sticking and cross checking tonight, etc. etc."

Astros visit Toronto June 22-24. I hope the crowds give him a big standing ovation. He was a trooper.
Am I the only one that sees this kid was producing every chance he got? I think he's on the verge of 25 home runs and hitting over 300. Houston was freaking out when we got him in the first place… The Blue Jays got a steal… And now we just gave it back and I don't understand why.

I have a sick feeling the Loporfido trade is going to haunt us this year. This kid is on the verge of a breakout this year I firmly believe.

None. I'm just surprised after so many years he still uses one.

Actually, it's a shrewd move, in today's climate.

Language which is acceptable in some parts of the world may be highly inappropriate in Wokanada.

If someone in the public eye can speak English, (but not fluently), something said in jest, or inappropriately expressed, can mean the Cancel button. An interpreter will not necessarily translate his client's words verbatim. Part of his job is to tactfully express the gist of what his client says.

Some of you may remember Yunel Escobar, who was the Blue Jays' starting shortstop in 2011-12. He was moved to the Miami Marlins in the Mark Buehrle trade shortly after he painted the message 'you're a fag' in Spanish on his eye black.

The Blue Jays have a zero tolerance policy for any actions or statements which do not embrace the Alphabet People, or anything to do with domestic violence or PEDs.

Shohei Otani never says anything of substance when interviewed, because anything he says reflects on all of the corporations who use him as an advertising shill.

It was widely believed Ichiro was proficient in understanding and speaking English, but never appeared in public without using an interpreter as a safeguard.
