I'm finally agreeing with Phillip, they gave away too much on the Varsho trade. Texas will probably be amazing, I haven't gotten beyond NJ when I go south of heaven.

Are you visiting both stadiums, I hear Houston is a gridlocked mess. It's not just baseball I would go for, never had Texas brisket and I would love to visit The Center of Animal Research and Education north-west of Ft Worth....Beezer probably retired undefeated.

Did anyone ever really question Gurriel‘s defence last year? Maybe they did I know I didn’t. I usually found myself thinking he had a great arm. I’m not so much into the number crunching of stats, (especially minuscule defensive ones), as I am into how I feel, what I see, rallying, momentum and the win column. I’m kind of stuck in the 80s and 90e still.

Just to be clear, it’s the chemistry break up that bothered me more than anything. If a happy, goofy Vlady hits 40+ home runs because he’s firing spitballs at Gurriel in the dugout all day, then keep that chemistry together. Don’t exactly understand why Ross Atkins felt the need to break that up.

I will always believe baseball is a game of momentum and chemistry.

I just noticed in today's box score that Zack Greinke is now 1-15 this year. Yikes!!!! This guy used to be untouchable.

Another nailbiter by Romano, where he loaded the bases, got Chad Green warming up, and made it much more interesting than it needed to be against the bottom of the order Kansas City Royals.

….but he’s among the league leaders in his position and boy oh boy gosh golly are we lucky to have him (omfg).

After all the strum und drang (look it up) regarding the Blue Jays season, the reality is that there are only 5 teams with better records in MLB as of today. And although many of us, myself included, were bemoaning their lack of clutch hitting all season, the fact is that they have been the best team in the league in hitting with runners in scoring position since Aug. 1st. Add that to consistently good to excellent performances from the starting rotation, especially since Ryu rejoined, a deep bullpen that was nicely bolstered by Atkins with the arrival of Hicks and Cabrera, and the best outfield defence in baseball, there is not too much to bitch about. Of course that won’t stop many of us on this forum, and I reserve the right to hop off the bandwagon at any moment if things start to slide.☺

Joseph Haydn wrote an entire set of symphonies based on sturm und drang.

I don't get it, Mr. Cuddles was a total gentleman when Hazel Mae interviewed him.

Rumor is he might have a substance abuse problem
…he is on those the same squinty eye drugs Cody Bellinger is on. Lmao.

The official story I believe is they decided to run a battery of tests to search for another underlying issue. I think his career is over. At least as a Jay. No way in hell would I let Kikuchi walk for this guy. Or with Rickey Tiedemann coming up… I think Alek is done.

I don't think I've ever seen a pitcher melt down in the manner Cole Ragans did today in the Jays/Royals game.
Memories of Lennox Lewis versus Oliver McCall 2.

I hope that POS never makes the HOF.
Bonds makes Clemens look like a Boy Scout.

….now we watch this video and we substitute the words “Rocket Robin Hood,” for “Rocket Roger Clemens.”Or even substitute “Robin” for “Roger.”

Lol Clemens is the greatest man to ever live!

I'm sorry Phillip, Roger Clemens picks his ass in the looming shadow of Rocket Robin Hood! Only The Great Shat and Adam West are in his league.

Mark DaRosa must have enjoyed his brief time with the Jays, he doesn't miss an opportunity to pump our tires. When he was Munenori Kawasaki's straight man, Munenori was actually funny.

On that, we can agree.
And what about my sing-along instructions for Rocket Robin Hood? It’s all about substituting the words in the right place, and closing your eyes envisioning the American flag blowing in the background while picturing Roger at work.

Dont make me dig up your post from over 15 years ago where you admitted to being impressed with how he would dig down for something extra when he needed it. Lol.

I never watched the show. I'm older than you. LOL.

TBH, I wasn't aware of much of Clemens off the field at that time aside from his acrimony with his former employer. All I knew was that he was an utra talented bulldog of a pitcher and now he was great for my Blue Jays. What was not to like?

As time went on, I became more and more informed as to his personality and his ego.
