On tv and radio they've been saying the induction precedes the game time. So, tuning in at 2:30 would be a good idea.

It's called hubris, Manoah is younger than Ryu, he hasn't embraced the work ethic needed to be an elite pitcher. He partied in the off season and came back with his belly hanging over his belt and very poor cardio. Tragically Doc isn't around to show him the way, send him to Gary Roberts.

I still don't understand how a female softball player gets to be an MLB analyst on a national broadcast over a former MLB player, even if he was a marginal player.
I don't consider Hazel's role to be the same as Shipman's role. She's more of a reporter(and a good one) than a game analyst.
Because guys in the 18-49 demographic who watch ESPN would rather see Madison read the cue cards, instead of Caleb. The dude played in 3 post season games, all in 2014, so most viewers have never heard of him. Madison has a great rack:

Alek Sanchez, Aaron Sanchez was supposed to have 2 Cy Youngs by now and still be the jays ace. He's 30 and out of the league. Every player wants that 1 life altering contract, manoah may never get it.

On the FAN 590 this morning they were speculating about who should be the next inductee to the Blue Jay level of excellence. Roger Lajoie suggested Jerry Howarth and I couldn't believe he's not already in it. What are they waiting for?

Jerry Howarth retired from the radio booth in 2018, at the time he didn't know if he would survive prostate cancer. Since then he's had his cancerous gland removed and appears to be in remission. Definitely he should be on the Circle of Excellence. I hope that happens soon, maybe he can sit in with Dan and Buck for a few games.
For the time being he's chillin at his cottage installing patio lanterns.

A cute little story. Back in the day Gord Stellick and Don Landry hosted the FAN 590 morning show. It was a joy to listen to, partly because of their sense of humour. Landry could do some spot on voice impersonations, including Howarth. At the time there was a story in the news that spread like wildfire about a lady who successfully sued Mcdonalds because she burned herself with their coffee that was too hot. Landry mocked the news story pretending to be Howarth in a Mcdonalds drive thru. He buys the coffee and puts it on the dashboard. As he's driving the coffee is swaying back and forth. Landry impersonates Howarth doing a play by play of the coffee dangerously swaying back and forth as he drives. Finally, the coffee tips over into his lap and Landry(as Howarth) exclaims "...and there she goes.....all over my lap". I laughed so hard that morning.
Jerry was a class act all the way. He was great with kids. Always had time for them.

Pearson has been recalled again from AAA. This kid better be careful, or he’s going to be the odd man out very soon.

I hope we open a great a great big can of whoop ass on them when we play them again. I can understand why Alex Sanchez didn't want to return. The gay community took a likin to him and called him "the face that launched 1000 gay ships". Is Marco Estrada coaching somewhere?
