The punters always complain about Romano after a blown save.
You don't get it.

He's only blown 3 saves out of 31 so there's not many opportunities there for them.

They complain, even after saves, if he allows any baserunners. They complain about the white knuckles they get. If it's not 3 up, 3 down he gets ripped.

Last night showed how valuable and underappreciated he is. He'd pitched in 4 of the last 5 games so he was unavailable.

I get it and defended Romano in the past. I agree with everything you are saying. But it's easy to say trade a guy, send him to the minors. Sure, if there's a good reason for that action, but they can't provide any quantifiable reasons, just their opinion.

How do you solve a problem like Springer?
0 for 4 today in the leadoff position, with a walk.

Back to my post from the other week (look it up), Whit Merrifield (2 for 4, with a homer) should be moved to leadoff and Springer should be moved to split Belt and Vladdy based on base running speed.

I think On Base Percentage belongs at the top of the order, with speed at the top and bottom, so I agree with your choices.

Merrifield/ Belt/ Bichette/ Guerrero/ Springer/ Chapman/ Varsho/ Catcher/ Kiermaier would be my lineup against RHP. If Varsho ever has a hot streak, I'd move him to #5 while he's on a roll.

And that's exactly what my point is. They don't like him, but have no justifiable backup to counter his excellent stats, other than they get nervous because he didn't pitch a clean 9th.

Merrifield is hitting .382 for the month of July. I checked the hitting stats, Merrifiled top the AL twice in the late 10's.

Just wait to see if you'd feel the same way if Jays re acquired him and he started flubbing plays in the OF again!
I wouldn’t like it, but I would like it better than Varsho
being invisible at the plate and Swanson giving up a 4 run lead in the ninth.

If not for that, they would have swept the mighty LA Dodgers in LA. That would've been impressive.
I am in LA right now, and I went to yesterday afternoons game. It wasn’t even a full house, big slow lineups everywhere, and by the time we got our hotdogs and drinks and got to our seat, it was the fourth and it was ridiculous. Everyone’s got a smile on their face like it’s a normal thing lol wtf.

Tons of Bluejay fans in Dodger Stadium.

Evidently they had sellouts the previous two night games of about 42,000. I've been to 14 parks but never at Chavez Ravine.

A lifetime memory for you.

It’s awesome. I’ve never seen the Blue Jays play there until yesterday afternoon. I’ve gone two games in 2017 and 2018 with the Dodgers playing against other teams. I have a family friend that is very high up in the Dodgers head office.

Holy cow it’s like they gave the day off yesterday to 70% of their staff. The lineup outside took forever. There were no ushers inside. It was kind of ridiculous…. especially when you don’t understand the number coding seat system and you have no one to ask.

If the Jays happen to acquire Michael Lorenzen before the trade deadline, (he's on the Tigers), he's also a decent right handed bat off the bench. It's a small sample over several years, but clearly the dude can handle a bat:

That's the only stadium left on bucket list. I mean there are tons I still want to go to, but that one is truly on my bucket list. Done Fenway, Yankee, Wrigley and Petco.
