I'm feeling a lot better about things today. I've decided not to write the e-mail after all. Instead, I will wait to see if she calls me, since she usually initiated the phone calls. If she doesn't re-establish contact, then I guess I have my answer.

Btw... it seems unlikely that she will come around to accepting my participation in the hobby. One of the things she said was "I have a friend who is a police officer. I will ask him how he feels about someone seeing escorts".

Well, if he is like a lot of cops, he'll probably want the phone number so he can book an appointment...Don't worry about it Dr L, seeing escorts isn't illegal so you have no worries. The thing that does concern me however is this new data that she thinks it is ok to discuss your private life with others. This is another reason I don't believe in organized religion, once you get a holy roller on a quest, there's no stopping them.

I hope it doesn't come to this but is there anything private she's told YOU that could be used to SHTFU? Remember, the internet is a powerful weapon and, heaven forbid, if it comes to it, you might have to use it to protect yourself.

Anyway, I hope cooler heads prevail and she's mature enough to a) retain your friendship and b) keep quiet about it.

The way I see it, there are two possible outcomes:

1) She gets over it and we become friends again

2) She doesn't get over it, in which case I could care less who she tells since we will not be friends anyway.

P.S. I think she just mentioned the police officer to try and get my goat. In any case, I told her I was well informed of the legalities pertaining to seeing escorts.

scratch 1 off the list since I don't think she will get over it - so we are left with number two - so move on and keep enjoying this hobby!!!!!

Like I said, no one is at fault. It's just that you two have different sets of morals. Let me give an example of how a seemingly trivial activity can make or break a friendship.

I am very much against hunting for sports. I think it's cruel and pointless. If I found out that a friend of mine was a hunter, there's a good chance I would be so repulsed that I would disasscoiate myself from him.

She is only doing the same with you.

The percentage of women working the sex industry is way higher then .000001%.

And leave the guy alone, it is tough enough he had to lose a friend let alone hear your words of non-advice, Shrink.

whatever the number is...those are the ONLY women in the world that thinks its ok. that was the point. and it wasnt putting him down. i would have thought that everyone would have known this. it isnt like you see hookers portrayed on tv or books or movies or mainstream life as movie stars would be. come on man.

I never said that I portray these SP's as shown in books, on TV, or in the movies. And there are alot of women that can accept this profession or at least can agree to disagree about it outside the 0.000001% you claim which is a bogus stat anyway. All I was saying was leave him alone, unless you have something nice to say, or some advice to give other then you need to meet more women or something like that. But hey you are entitled to your opinion.

Au contraire! I can think of a few of my LF's (non-SP's) who, if I asked their opinion, probably would say they do not have any problems with escorts. In fact, a couple of years ago, I revealed to one of them my involvement in the hobby. She had absolutely zero issue with it on both sides of the equation.

Shrink, how about a dose of contribution from you first before you start giving us advice. Do a review, contribute a bit, build some credibility and then maybe I'll take your shit more seriously.

In a handbasket, wanna come along?
I have plenty of bi female friends that love to come to the club with me, not all women are as uptight as you might think Shrink, get out and meet some different ones.

As for the situation with the friend, sorry to heat that, I recently lost a friend because of a revelation that I let her in on. Its tough man but move on, she might come back with time.

Sorry to hear you lost your friend, but I do wonder how "true" she actually was.

I believe that we all here become somewhat desensitized to how women outside the industry feel. I had a conversation with my wife the other day that really brought that home to me.

Personally, I know that hanging around SC and talking to the dancers has caused me to realize that I need to be very careful in conversations with "civilian" women.
Exactly.

If you had told her that you had a heroin addiction, odds are that she could have still been your friend, probably even stood by you.

But tell her that you like sex with working girls and the relationship is right out the window? That's nuts.

She's the one with the big problem.
