You still haven't figured this out yet, but the reason you're being mocked happ is because your opinions so far lack any critical thinking and willingness to see both sides of the issue. You've also completely ignored that the issues with the public sector are also present in the private sector. Again, there are problems on both sides of the fence. You may want to try to open your eyes just a bit more to see the real story.
Of course we can pay them less. The nurses here are paid like CEOs.
Your comparison to the health care sector and private CEO's is totally off-base. You are comparing people making $100 to 300K to some CEO's making millions to tens of millions of dollars with millions of dollars in severance, and stock options. Your millionaire CEO is worth a department full of health care workers even with the pensions, etc.
Since you don't like our system so much, I propose you move to the US and see how much better they have it there.
