The 4.5 million Palestinians of the Occupied Territories have been living under an explicit Israeli dictatorship for the past 50 years - Run by the very people who are now shrieking about their own pending loss of rights. They don’t give a flying f*ck about about what has or what will happen to Palestinians.
While the Israeli public should fight these proposed changes, the exclusion of the occupation from the list of policies to be overturned, reveals a tone deaf, myopic and narcissistic outlook that’s consistent with the Apartheid label firmly affixed to Israel.
The protests against Netanyahu are really only about what form of apartheid rule should exist there, its a protest for the occupiers who are concerned with the form of the Jewish state, not whether Israel should be a liberal democracy. That decision has already been made.
